After receiving quotes from five different re-finishers, we were referred to this company by a very old friend who had used them in his home.  Their quote was less than all five of them, and this fact, combined with referral, caused me to decide to use them.  Our home is 4,000 square feet over two floors, and the first floor was almost all oak, which had been installed by builder about 15 years ago.  There was a large area of carpeting that we wanted to replace with matching wood.  EA was able to expertly weave new wood into old to make it look like there'd been wood there all along.  Also, we went with a darker color, and overall the floors look great.  They used oil based finish and we had been considering water based.  The only downside is very strong smell.  Otherwise, professionalism and all other aspects of customer service were excellent.  Highly recommended.

Work went very well. Arrived as scheduled; worked around my schedule to allow me to relocate furniture. Was very professional and accommodating. Cleaned up well and left me very satisfied. Installation of shoe molding was not as professional as I thought it could have been.

They were a very friendly family of workers, very good at keeping dust to a minimum, and had a good estimate. However, I had freshly painted walls, and they left several dirt spots all over the walls, and the polyurethane on the floors is severely bubbled. They did not do a good job of smoothing poyurethane or filling in.

Absolutely professional. All work was performed to the highest standards.

Mr. Akins and his team were very thorough in that they refinished the oak floors on the first floor of my home, and installed and finished new oak floors on the second floor. Mr. Akins also made a few repairs to the dining room floor where the wood was rotted thru, and the patch is blended beautifully and is invisible. I was most impressed with his attention to detail and nothing I asked him to do was too much work. He was glad to do it. The floors look magnificent, and I couldn't be happier! I would gladly have him do any other work on my floors!
