Detroit City Sweep came to two of my properties to repair a total of three fireplaces. They did a fine job repairing one gas fireplace and adding caps to my chimney. I had a second gas fireplace that they needed to order a part for. I had to call them half a dozen times to get them to order the part and come back to the house to install it. When they finally did, it turns out they ordered the wrong part. After multiple calls they came out a second time, and again, it was the wrong part. Three weeks passed and on the third visit they brought the wrong part again and said the correct part was going to cost me twice what they originally quoted. I would like to recommend Detroit City Sweep, but I just can't.

Once I got the quote for repairs, I received a followup call to confirm our agreement and to ask if I had any questions. This was a Saturday, they began work that Monday and called to let me know when they would arrive. They arrived on time and immediately began work. They were polite, experienced, efficient and didâ nt take all day. I received another followup call to make sure I was satisfied with the job. I was well pleased with the work and would definitely use them in the future. Thank you Detroit City Sweep.

I had an excellent experience with Detroit City Sweep. I called for a chimney flue replacement. Customer service was very friendly and helpful. They sent Adam and Kory, who were both highly knowledgeable and capable. They knew exactly what needed to be done and did not waste any time. They worked hard and did a fantastic job, all for a very reasonable price. I could not have asked for better workers! I highly recommend Detroit City Sweep for any Chimney work that needs to be done.

Our service person Dean was the salt of the earth he was very pleasant he was on time he did an excellent job we even got compliments on the work he did which was tuck point of our chimney from a very popular roofing company Victor's Roofing praised the tuck point that he did thanks Dean I would love to have him do anything else for us but he only works on chimneys

Super clean and best

Do not hire them. No communication, ended up trying to charge us 1200 more then quoted. Sent a sub contractor who knew nothing about the job to work on it. Worst experience , would not recommend them at all.

Very good service did a very job

I have had my fireplace cleaned and inspected for many years by this company and never had a problem. When I had my fireplace chemically deglazed, the product was splashed on my carpet, the tarp they used was soaked, I had to bring up my own tarp while cleaning up the carpet. Days later I noticed my front porch, steps, and back patio which is where the chimney is located, with splash marks and drips from the product. When I texted them the photos, they told me to go to the hardware store and find a degreaser and clean the rest of my porch.

Beware worse work performed. Refuses to make corrections. Made false promises. Unlicensed workers hired by this company. Detroit Sweep will refer you to the workers when work is not done correct. This company should be closed down. Took my money and every single thing that they did needs to be redone.

The best around,. Have them clean my fireplace every year.

My experience was wonderful! Chris, the technician was prompt, courteous and thorough. Chris did a meticulous tune up. He was knowledgeable. When he was done, the area was totally cleaned up. The company called the next day to follow up appointment and to make sure I was satisfied. Will definitely use them for my yearly gas fireplace tune up or repairs if needed. Thank you!

Great at communicating arrival time. Very professional and clean. Only one small issue. I thought the website said $125 for the cleaning but was charged $150 after the service was complete. Perhaps the $125 was an estimate, either way I was still happy with the service.
