 + -1 moreThe sales person and techs were great. The office person was HORRIBLE. She was rude and she even tried to joke that the snow was affecting her email/phones. Just terrible.

 + -1 moreJust bought a new bungalow that needed work because the seller's contractor was an idiot. Realtor recommended Baumgartner. We had a narrow time frame to correct the return duct, tune up the furnace and install the AC unit. They did it all in a timely manner and kept me informed throughout the process.

Description of Work: This last time, I did not actually need Baumgardner when I checked Angie's List. I was responding to a neighbor who needed someone good. I didn't remember their phone number, and checked Angie's List to find it. Baumgardner has a sterling local reputation. But, I was apaulled to find that Angie's List ranked them with a "D", apparently because just one person had given them an "f" for not returning their voice message call for help. Everyone else had previously given them high grades for their work. Even the neighbor that I was helping, when I have them the number to call, said: Oh, yes; I've used them before and they were great. I have to wonder about the integrity of the rating system at Angie's List, when one negative call of this particular kind plunges an otherwise sterling reputation to a "D".

Description of Work: We have Baumgardner Heating and Cooling. It was the starting up and they had to check over an electrical situation with it and repaired it for me.

 + 0 moreVery disappointing. Waited all day for a return call from them to set appt. time. When I called them at end of day, they weren't sure what happened that we weren't contacted. The next morning I didn't hear from them so I called after several hours. Then I was told I had to wait until late in the day again for an appointment. (Even after I reminded them that we were missed the previous day!) I then received a call in early afternoon saying they could come right over but I had already scheduled a different contractor for that time.

Description of Work: They had to take all the covering off the furnace and vaccum all the soot out.

 + -1 moreJob was done on time and with excellent clean-up. old unit was removed woth no mess. Since the replacement was done in December we were advised to wait to complete the air conditioning portion (charging wihit refrigerent) until late spring. All it took was one phone call to get the air conditioning ready in late April. Contractor was well-informed about tax credits and DTE and Consumers rebate programs and helped us prepare rebate paperwork. When fall came and we were not sure how to activate humidifier a technician stopped by at no charge to help us out
Description of Work: Replaced old gas forced air furnace and central air units as well as a humidifier.

 + -1 moreI THOUGHT THAT THE GUYS WHO CHANGED OUT MY FURNACE DID A VERY GOOD JOB. WE HAD A LITTLE PROBLEM WITH MISCOMMUNICATION TOWARDS THE END, BUT EVERYTHING TURNED OUT JUST FINE.
