BATH MAGIC - DETROIT

We had our bathtub reglazed. The tub was in pretty bad shape and results are amazing. Looks brand new! Contractor was very professional and cleaned up after himself. We had a slight drip mark, hardly noticeable but they came back and fixed it. We would highly recommend.

Dan was right on time, very professional and did a wonderful job. I was very pleased with this company. My bathtub looks new!

We had a positive experience with Bath Magic. The installer, Rick, was punctual, friendly and professional. We have a large, friendly dog, that we didn't want to leave outside on that cold day, and Rick took it all in stride. We are pleased with the results. My only regret is that we weren't told, at the time we made the appointment, about the non-skid feature that you can purchase with the installation. We only learned about it after the job was done, and by then it was too late. We would use this company again and recommend them to others.

Perfect service. First of all I requested to be notified of any cancellations to move my date up. I was contacted twice before my original appointment. The provider called to confirm that he was on his way and arrived promptly. The provider was very friendly, thorough and professional. After looking at the job I was informed of all actions to take place and the price. After confirming the work and price the provider went to work and did a beautiful job! Cleanup was great too.

When I called, I asked if I should remove caulk around tub and was informed that the person doing the work would do that. Well, I wished I would have removed the caulk around the tub and faucets on sink since they were left on when recoating. Work quality was ok, better than I could have done myself. There was a drip on the side of the sink that they promptly came out and buffed away free of charge.

Great experience. Was called the day before appt date to confirm. Was called 2 hours prior to actual time to confirm location an ETA. Justine came in explained the process. He arrived at 9:10a and was finished by 10:30a. Only one concern that that was when bathtub was sprayed the (all faucets, mirrors should be covered. The spray lives a residue that is difficult to remove from those areas. Overall the experience was a good one. I also have a 5 year warranty on work done.

The guy was okay but he wasn't great. I wouldn't give him high grades because may be my expectations are a little bit out of line. I thought that the falling perfection in the bathtub would disappear. I was not even sure whether the bathtub had a scratch but I've never noticed it before but the glaze on it looks like there is a grout and it's slicked out. On the bottom of the tub now there is a whole bunch of little bumps and may be his mixture wasn't real smooth. I have replaced the tub myself years ago when my kids were real young and now they are grown up. There was one little place that was bumping and my kids picked at it. My kids told me that they broke it open and it peeled the whole bathtub. If I had to put super glue on it immediately, I might have avoided that problem but unfortunately my kids had done that and it peeled off it. I have got a bunch of little bumps in the bathtub. If you put a kid in there and leave him for a while, I could imagine that he could destroy the re-glazing job which was done because of imperfections. It wasn't really expensive. I just thought that guy wasn't careful as he probably could have been. He had to come out once because there was like a sagging in the materials and he fixed it. He wasn't ignoring my concern. I thought he should probably check his materials little better as I don't know if he is using older epoxy. There are bumps in the tub and kids might pick it and potentially thrash the job he did. It isn't really against the guy that did it as much as the material he used probably wasn't of high standard. He did come out when I had a problem with the sagging and fixed it. He just made an appointment, came out here on time and took care of it. That was a pretty good plus because I had the guy come back without any problem. There's nothing really you can put your finger on specifically but he didn't care much and I don't know why. I think it was more of a perception on my part. He specifically said something which made me feel that it was more like an end of feeling his attitudes and it's something which I can't put in words real well. I would probably try my previous provider first. I was going to go with him first and because his wife was in the hospital he couldn't do the job. If he is not available, I would probably use these guys again. He could have done the job little more carefully when he finished but I would probably use them again. It all looks good now and I'm trying to sell the house so I'm not going to be living here right now. I'm just here to get the place cleaned and I'm not going to try to pursue anything. For that amount of money I guess it wasn't bad.

I called for a price and had a return call immediately. I had two other estimates and all were in the same ballpark. After reviewing numerous Angie's List posts I hired Bath Magic. They had a cancellation and were able to fit me in two days later! The gentleman that came to my house was right on time and called ahead to give me a 20 minutes heads up that he was on his way. He was professional and described what he was going to do. I had the deluxe option done which is a longer lasting glaze- they provide a 5 year warranty vs. the regular glaze which only comes with a 1 year warranty and is just less than $100 less than the deluxe. I felt it was no question to get the deluxe finish. I paid an additional $20 for him to re-caulk around the bath tub. Everything looks great and is white and shinny. My only disappointment was the amount of cleanup afterward. He covered the tiles in the bath and the floor about 8"-12" out and up from the tub instead of what I saw in pictures where they cover the entire bathroom. Due to the lack of coverage there was a powdery film on everything in the bathroom that I cleanup up the next morning. It came up with no problem but I didn't realize there would be a coat of dust all over that had to be cleaned up. All in all the tub looks great and so far is holding up great! It's like a brand new tub...which makes it look like a brand new bathroom! Overall I am very pleased.

Jeff, the technician, arrived on time. He was nice to my dogs. He reviewed the work before starting and explained what he was going to do and how long it would take. I opted for the deluxe, environmentally friendly, faster drying option. My beige tub is now a brilliant bright white. It looks fantastic. New. The odor lingered longer than I expected, probably as long as two days. Jeff explained the after-reglazing care process so that the tub would look its finest for a long time. Warranty is 5 years if I follow their care guidelines. You will want to have an open window for the tech to vent the paint odor.

I received a "reminder" call the day before my appointment, as well as, a call the morning of the appointment from the technician to let me know he would be at my house during the scheduled time. He arrived on time and the process took 3 1/2 hours. He cleaned up very well. I had expected a mess with dust and all, but there wasn't any. I would still recommend taking everything out of the bathroom. I noticed a drip after he left, but it isn't noticeable unless you're right up on it. (I didn't see it when I inspected his work before I paid him). So inspect carefully. They also charge $25 to recaulk. I didn't know this until the technician was on site.

He arrived on time and began the reglazing process. Took about 3-4 hours. There is a small area where I can see a drip line. Overall, though, the tub looks much better. I asked for a bath mat to be installed (I don't think I asked for it at the time of the order) which he didn't have at that time but he said he would come back to install it. He never called or came back for that.

It went well. He called to let me know he was coming for an estimate and then called on the day to say he had to adjust his schedule.

My tub looks like a new tub, and I have a five year warranty. I did not know that I could re-glaze a tub, and they did a perfect job and saved money.

WE THOUGHT THAT THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. WE LIKED THE FACT THAT THEY DID EXACTLY WHAT THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO DO. THE WHOLE JOB WAS DONE THE DAY THAT THEY STARTED.
