Icemaker not working. Diagnostic tests were to stick his head in the fridge and freezer compartments. Did not look specifically at the icemaker. Just declared that the issue was that the fan needed to be replaced as well as a sensor. And probably a "board" (of a type he didn't specify.) He said he had to look up the part prices and let me know. But he "estimated" $300 to $500 or maybe more. He took my credit card and ran it through his smartphone presumably for the initial service call. When asked for a receipt, he said he'd go to his truck to print one out. He sat in his truck for several minutes but then drove off. So I had no receipt, no itemized estimate or ANYTHING written, a quickie diagnosis (using no tools or instruments or disassembly of any components), and a vague promise of him coming back in a few days to do the repair. He has not even returned any of my voicemail messages. Furthermore, checking with our Visa account, we see that he charged $190 when he told my wife the service call, diagnostic tests, and estimate would be $125. (His website says, "Our service fee includes the trip charge, any needed diagnostic tests, and a repair estimate, so there are no separate charges to surprise you. For $65.00 you will, at the very least, know what’s wrong with your appliance and what it will take to make a proper repair. We do good work, clean up after ourselves and automatically include a parts and service warranty." The referral to this business was given to us by LG, the manufacturer, so we figured they were vetted by them. Checking online later with Angie's List, Better Business Bureau, and Yelp, we found many similar complaints and no remotely positive reviews. YES -- we should have checked BEFORE! We will be disputing the charge through Visa. We will also see if we can reach someone at the manufacturer to have them reconsider further referrals to this company. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!

Stay away from this lousy company. Extremely unprofessional, zero reliability and unethical. Appliance Repair was recommended by LG Electronics to service/troubleshoot the issue with my LG cook top. After waiting for 1 week a technician finally showed up at my house and after taking the appliance apart told me he can't troubleshoot and need to take it to a repair shop for troubleshooting. He promised to call me once he knows what the problem is and let me know how much it will be to fix. He said it will take couple days. After 3 days passed by I called and acquired about the status. I was told technician is in a field and some one is going to call me by COB. This repeated every day for another 5 days. Finally I was able to speak with a technician and he informed me that my appliance is taken apart but no one were able to troubleshoot it yet and asked for couple more weeks. At that point I told him I'll pick my appliance up myself and no further repair is required from AG Appliance Repair. I was told I have to pay service fee regardless. I explained that service fee is paid when service is performed and since they have not troubleshoot my appliance I'll not pay anything more than what I already paid them when they first came to my house. He demanded I have to pay. Very unprofessional company, unreliable. They should not be providing service to any customers.

Worst experience I've ever had with a service provider. A technician came to my home who had no idea what he was doing. He had to call someone else from the company to walk him through what to look at. He gave me 3 possible reasons why my refrigerator was not cooling, which if I google it, I could get the same 3, so that's not helpful. He had no idea how to fix it, and needed to send me another person, so again I'd have to stay home from work to wait for someone to arrive. I made a huge mistake when the original tech told me they need a $200 deposit for the future work, and I paid that. When I called the company to make another appointment, they were so unprofessional. They spoke so poorly that I could barely understand them. Then I booked another appointment, and they said they would call in the morning with the time. They didn't call, so I did, and they said oh we thought we were coming Friday instead of Tuesday! I stayed home from work just for them. So they then said they could arrive before noon (when I complained). At 2:00 they had not shown up. I had such a bad feeling about the professionalism of the communications I had and was uncomfortable with this person coming to my home with so many red flags, so at 2:00 I called and cancelled. I know this sounds like I just was not patient, but it was my gut feeling that this was not going to go well and I was being ripped off. Then I looked at the reviews on Angie's List and realized my gut was accurate. I will now have to fight the company somehow to get the $200 back. LG provided me their contact information as their approved service provider, which is just as disappointing. Do not use this unprofessional company!!

He came and he said he had to clean the coils first and see if the fridge would have worked properly afterwards..which also made sense... But the guy was extremely slow, he didn't know how to open up the grid where the components are and he was absolutely inexperienced... him and the young guy that was with him. I don't recommend them at all! Terrible!

AG Appliance Repair were terrible. The guy came out and assessed the situation, he told us a part was needed, and gave a quote. He ordered a small part and we gave him a partial payment. He told us it was something to do with the refrigeration coils. We haven't seen this man since then and is has been almost two months. We call him from different numbers and he says he'll come out. Or they say he'll call you back. We are out $125 dollars and he hasn't repaired our refrigerator.

We had a washing machine filled with stagnant water that wouldn't agitate, spin, or drain. We called A G Appliance on the 3rd of July and he offered to come out on the holiday for a $40 service fee! Right on time on the 4th, he took our washer apart, diagnosed it, and asked if we had any other problems. We told him about how we only had one temperature working on the washer.

That was Wednesday. He came back on Friday with the parts needed, made the repair, and now our washer is working better than it has since we bought the house. We are very satisfied!

I highly recommend them.  The owner of the business, his name is Lorne Greene.  He is a very nice person.  He is very easy to work with.  He is very professional.  He got the job done.  I thought price could have been a little less.  I might use them in the future depends on what the issue is.  I don't know what the appliance repair cost, but I thought that it was a little steep.  He is a busy guy.  He runs his own business.  He didn't have the part when he came and looked at it.  He went away to get the part.  It took him 12 hours to get back here because of his location.  He fit in other people around me just to maximize his area if he could.  Relative to where he is based, I am pretty far out there.  It bothers me, but it didn't bother me; so that's about the only thing.  I can understand, but on the other hand, for that kind of money, I would have hold that it would have been a little quicker turnaround.  I liked the guy and I liked his work.  He did a satisfactory work.  It could have been more perceptional.
