Pricing was the issue. All the rest of it, they were an A company.

Was informed by the company that I would be charged $35 for them to come out and estimate the work. This would be applied to my cost if I decided to go with their company. I cancelled the estimate, finding it difficult to imagine paying them to try to gain my business. The cost of estimates is a part of garnering new business and I feel I should not have to pay for them to gain my business. The company called me back to explain that I was the first person to complain about this practice in 8 years and that I need to do further research into tree companies to see that there are some truly bad ones out there. I respect their opinion, but still feel users on this site should know ahead of time that they need to pay up front just to have them look at the work.

Mr. Schilbe responded immediately and set up a next-day appointment for the estimate. He called before he came, came on time, and spent time talking to us about the tree, possible replacements for the tree, and the process. We did eventually choose another tree service company because they had a lower cost, but we would not hesitate to recommend his service.

They did a fantastic job. We were not able to get any other contractor to get into our yard due to the limited space in our yard. They cleaned up the mess and you wouldn't have even known they were there. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

I called in the morning. An hour or so later Kevin came to give me an estimate. About 2 hours after that his men started working. 3 - 4 hours later they were done. Superb service. What a lifesaver! A couple of companies I called said they wouldn't be able get to me for 4 - 6 days. !!?

Mr Schiller was on time and seemed very knowledgeable. He took about half an hour to look at all my trees, give me his recommendations and an estimate for the work. In the end I decided to only implement part of his recommendations and when I tried to schedule the work Mr Schilbe decided it was not enough to justify his coming the almost 20 miles to my home.

They did an excellent job. They had an excellent response and they were extremely clean on their cleanup. Everything was perfect. I liked that the owner of the company responded to my call the same day and my schedule was a little erratic but he worked around it completely. They showed up on time but I do not have anything to compare their price to. They did a quick cleanup and were not even here for half an hour. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

It was a difficult job due to the tight access to the yard and size of the yard. The crew did a great job working in close quarters. There were power line clearance issues to be worked out in advance. Before cutting the tree down, they came out on a Saturday to clear storm debris so that power could be restored. Kevin Schilbe, the owner, is a certified arborist.
