dealt with bruce to have insulation installed in my attic. he was very responsive and gave me an excellent price and great service. his crew was fast, efficient, and honest. would definitely use metropolitan again!

Owner Bruce was thorough and provided a number of options from which to choose for our Attic Insulation. He spent time with my Wife and I listening to our needs and what we wanted to accomplish with the installation of the attic insulation. Bruce was on site the entire time the insulation was installed. His two techs were friendly and professional. I was confident that Bruce and team were going to complete the job right. I'd highly recommend.

This is one of my few contractor projects that shows no problem after many years of use. I've tested his work for seven years and come to write a review now. Today, the temperature spiked from a fall-like chilly to a summer-steaming feeling. The outdoor temperature is 86 F/30 C; my house is still full of yesterday's cool air, 68 F/20 C—71.5 F/ 21.9 C on the 2nd floor; the 1st floor is cooler. I don't need to turn on the A/C, as I even feel so cold that I need a blanket. I selected the cellulose whole-house insulation with attic insulation for my very average-quality wooden house, even not a brick house. In summer, I only need to turn on the window A/C for less than 8 hrs per day for a few weeks. In winter, 1200 sqft average $150-$180 heating bill with 93% efficiency furnace in the coldest month. It is an energy-saving project. Plus, this cellulose material has a noise barrier feature. Most of the noise used to come through the wall is filtered out. Now only the window area has noise come through my house. Mr. Bruce offered a reasonable price I could afford and installed my house with tested good materials. Compare this to the plumber and licensed electrician I hired who used lead-solder and not up-to-the-code cheap plugs with no fire blocks and fooled me as a no knowledge of their field. I am very satisfied with my house insulation project done by them. They pulled the permit. I paid the permit cost.

Bruce and his team were amazing. They were highly recommended by a neighbor that used him. He went above and beyond to make sure I was well insulated. I ended up choosing to insulate the walls, attic, and the joist rim in the basement. I have been doing updates on my home since I moved in 2 years ago. He did not treat me with the condesending disrespect I usually get from contractors because I am a single woman. He explained the insulation process thoroughly and gave me my options with the pros and cons. I did not feel pressured in anyway to make my choices. In the end I felt confident with my choices. I will definetly be calling him out to do my gutters. It was such a great choice. I can already tell a difference the insulation has made and the weather has not been that cold. Bruce is a true professional. He insulated my whole house, including my addition and did an amazing job. Bruce will ensure you know everything needed to know and walk you through everything he is doing. He went well above and beyond. Bruce is very knowledgeable and professional. I dealt with another insulation company who was very unprofessional and did shoddy work. Bruce was able to insulate my attic and brick walls for a great price. He was able to save me upwards of 40% on my gas and electric bills.

Excellent customer service. Bruce, the owner, was extremely knowledgeable and provided detailed information on the various types/quality of products. Also, the process of blowing in the insulation to the attic. Very reasonable price. He was onsite during the entire process and great cleanup. I am extremely pleased with the job performed. Not only did he do high quality insulation installation for us at a great price, but he is professional, experienced, responsive, communicative, kind, patient, and really went above and beyond to help us out. Bruce went above and beyond multiple times and he was extremely flexible! Not once did he try to nickel and dime us (which is rare with some companies), and he always kept us informed on how the process was going. Bruce and his employees did a great job installing the insulation that I needed. I will definitely be going back to this business for any needs in the future!

It went very very well, very trustworthy, he has done extra work on, very trustworthy man, very clean.

It went really good. They were at the home for about an hour. They found a few air leaks from windows & outlets. They gave me some ways I could rectify the problem myself or I could hire them to do the work.

They walked through the whole house and did the assessment, but weren't very detailed.  They were supposed to perform a blower test but did not.

Metropolitan Windows replaced our entire roof in November 2013.  They were very professional and completed the job in time to prevent  a storm from damaging ceilings in the bedrooms.  When this leak occurred, I called Bruce Shively from Metropolitan to investigate.  He showed up the same day, went up on the roof and took care of the problem.
  Based on their performance and prompt response, I would recommend Metropolitan Windows for any type of home improvement.

On November 25, 2013, we discovered that our roof was leaking into a bedroom ceiling.  Bruce from Metropolitan responded that evening.  He climbed up on the roof in the dark with his thermal imaging camera and found roof leaks and shingle damage.   On December 6, we signed an agreement to replace the roof.  Because of a predicted heavy snow, Bruce was was able to get his crew to start the work ASAP.  They finished the job in two days, before the storm hit.  We are happy with the results and Bruce's timely response.  Bruce is a great contractor that strives to satisfy his customers; he always returns calls and investigates promptly to solve the problem.

He spend about 1.5 hours shooting photos of all areas he felt might be at risk.  Explained logic of his targets, and happily, found no significant problem areas.

Bruce is very professional, friendly and honest.

Bruce Shively from Metropolitan Windows and Improvements arrived on time and in about an hour located the origin of a leak that has been occurring for some time.   He was very thorough.   He checked plumbing, attic, and then the roof.    He determined the leak was caused by a faulty furnace flue pipe .       I was extremely impressed with Bruce's expertise and would recommend Metropolitan to anyone.

It went good overall. The house was scanned throughout for cold spots/leaks. This was informative, but there isn't much that can be done to fix the problems. The person taking the images was nice to work with. A report was issued soon after completing the job. My only criticism is that the report wasn't as comprehensive as the scan itself, and it wasn't clear where the images were taken. One of the images was incorrectly identified in the report.

Very well. They showed up at ten till eight and managed to get the whole job done by six the same evening. My wife and i forgot to get a car out before telling them to drop the dumpster for shingles in the drive blocking us in. We has a birthday party to go to and they were very polite as they moved the dumpster on short notice and wished up well at the part. They removed all the fixtures on our roof, cam vents and whole house fan and painted them to match the new shingles. We were most impressed with the clean up and care they took not to damage anything. They moved our planters ahead of time so none were hurt, we looked for almost a half hour after they left and found a single nail. Considering we had two layers of shingle and over a hundred feet of board that was replaced we were very happy. They were polite and bothered us none as they worked away the day. The work came in right on the money with the estimate and was done in a very timely manner. I could not recommend them any more to any one. Very impressed.

The man who came out was very knowledgeable, professional, and polite, but we did not get a written report, only an oral one.

The job went pretty well, and it was very interesting, I'm glad I had it done. It was a good deal, but it was also a way for the company to try and sell you other services.
