D & G Cement Co

John was prompt on responding to my request for a quote and started work as soon as he could after the COVID-19 lock down in Michigan. His crew showed up on Thursday, dug the foundation and got it inspected, then poured concrete on Friday, other than concrete in the forms, there was no sign of any work - they cleaned everything up perfectly. On Monday they setup to pour the floor, including vapor barrier and foam. Again the inspection was approved and the floor poured by the end of the day. A total of 6 trucks of ready-mix were used. The crew was fast and professional, handled requests during the job professionally and with quick response. I work in the construction industry, and these guys are better than some of the commercial and industrial subcontractors. They even brought in extra gravel to deal with my driveway after the cement mixers were done, and leveled the gravel off the edge of the building with the garage doors, without being asked. All the trash from the work was picked up and taken off site. I can not say enough about them. Hope the boss agrees to use them for projects in the area, because my work life would be easier. We had a wood deck patio. Decided to replace this and were weighing our options. Our two neighbors were having cement work done by D & G. Got their phone number and called them. John came out and I explained what we wanted to do. He explained what they would do and gave us an estimate. We decided to use them to pour a patio ans sidewalk for us. Everything went as planned. Both the patio and sidewalk survived this past winter. We had a small job that we wanted done this year (2015) and called D & G again. They worked with us on timing (fitting us in as it was a small job) and completed the job on 8/29/2015. His crew cleaned up and was polite and professional.

I decided to go with D&G Cement Co to replace my 40 year old cracked and crumbling concrete driveway and am very happy with this decision.  My driveway is quite large (110 feet long), and contains an additional parking area and walkway, so I knew up front that this would be a costly home improvement, but my biggest concern was finding a contractor with a good crew that would do a quality job and in a timely manner.  I received bids from 4 different contractors, and after speaking with John DiDomenico from D&G I knew that I found the right contractor.  His bid was slightly higher than the others but very detailed in what he would do.  He also promised to get the job done in my desired right time frame, and in only 1 1/2 days.  I honestly didn't think he could do it as soon as I wanted and in such an efficient manner, but the end result was great.  
His crew came by early in the morning to remove my old driveway, and they quickly found that it would be more difficult than planned because my old driveway was thicker in some parts and had wire mesh reinforcement.  It took 1/2 day to get rid of the old concrete, then immediately the crew began work of hauling in gravel to make the crushed compacted base, followed by three cement truck loads full of new fiber-reinforced concrete.  It was amazing to just watch D&G's crew in action.  They were a very hard working, conscientious crew, who paid attention to more details than I expected!  I believe these guys really do try their best to give their customers a quality product.  After an eleven hour workday (on a Friday!), I had a beautiful new driveway.  Two workers came back the following week to put in the expansion cuts using a diamond blade saw, followed the next day by a sealer.  I did have to do some work (as expected) in fixing the grass around the new driveway, since they needed about 1/2 foot extra to dig up the old concrete, but after only 1 month the new grass is in and the driveway looks fantastic. 
John did caution me (several times) about the need to avoid exposing the driveway to any salt during the first winter, and I intend to follow his advice strictly as I've heard that this can damage the surface of any new concrete driveway.  Overall, I am very happy with the services of D&G Cement Company and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a new concrete driveway.

The only negative I can add is that our garage siding went right down to the existing asphalt and it got a little chewed up at the bottom during the removal process; I'm really not sure it could have been prevented. Also, a tool got dropped on the sill of the garage's walk-in door that left a dent. I didn't contact them about it, however, so I don't know if they would have done something to correct that.

Dand G did a fantastic job on my house on Vassar. Originally they were to replace concrete in 2 places, but we discovered prior to closing on the house that an additional slab needed replaced. John made a special trip out to evaluate and fit the extra work into the schedule. On the day of the project they also accomodated a small slab on the walkway we decided to replace the morning they arrived for the work. After curing they returned, cut the seams and replaced two steps. All work was of the highest quality. They sloped the new concrete perfectly and the drainage problems we had originally were solved. John and crew are licensed and insured and are very professional. The prices are competative. I would use them again in the future with no hesitation.

It was absolutely wonderful. They arrived when they said they would, they were very professional and worked very hard and quickly. They were very neat as they worked and it was spotless when they left. They completed the sidewalk in 4 hours and it was not a simple sidewalk. it was curved out from the parking lot and curved into 2 doors.
Anyone who is looking for a quality job should only hire this company. Don't even bother looking at any others. It will be well worth spending a little more for as close to perfection as you can get.

Estimate appointment was scheduled and though happened on the day it was scheduled, the estimator was 2 hours late.
After the estimate was accepted and the deposit was paid, we did not hear from them for about a month.
The job was done while were out of town. It was fast and cleanup was perfect. It took me anout two weeks to figure out how to pay the for the job since there was not bill.

I was quit impressed with the sales person that came out compared to the others I saw. The price is good. It wasn't the lowest and not the highest. It was in the middle. I was just impressed with what he offered. They clean up well. They broke it down in one day. They were not here very long. They worked the entire time. They did not fool around. They got right to it. I would use them again. I am going to have them do my drive way next year.

We had to first give them $200 to go to the township hall and take out the permit. They did quite a bit of work for the money. We were very satisfied with the work. Their prices may be a little bit higher than others but we got what we paid for. They gave us an estimate and a time when they would be here. They came out when they said. They told us when the job would be done and they kept their word.

I had a very positive experience with them. They were responsive, had competitive pricing, and I enjoyed their quality service.

I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality work these men did for us. They came right out and paved all three of our driveways for a very inexpensive cost. They were very professional, courteous and I would easily refer them to anyone looking for a quality deal that is affordable as well.

I CAN'T COMPLAIN ABOUT THEIR WORK, THEY ALWAYS DO A GOOD JOB. I HAVE USED THEIR SERVICE IN THE PAST AND I WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO. I WAS HAPPY WITH THE WAY THE DRIVEWAY LOOKED WHEN THEY WERE DONE.
