Caputo Animal Hospital

PaId for xrays. Told vet to xray LEFT HIP, LEG, FEMER. Xrays were taken but I was not shown the xrays during the exam. My dog was declared "fine". I went to another vet for 2nd opinion and requested the xrays from Caputo. Written records were sent but the 2nd vet could not read the records from Caputo and asked to pickup xrays. 4 days later his hip and femur snapped in half that set in motion a series of cataclysmic chain of events, placing me and my dog in traumatic life and death situation. The truth is he had cancer and was dying. When I finally got a copy of the xrays from Caputo, they xrayed the WRONG BODY PARTS! When I asked Caputo vet why I wasn't shown the xrays, I was told they just got a new digital xray machine and didn't have the equipment set up yet; the only way to view the xrays was on the staff monitor and it was busy. In my understanding of the situation, my dog may have died, but he didn't need to die, in my best estimation, the way the did if I were given the facts and information.to make more informed medical decision.

They removed her stitches and checked her left ear. Left ear was clear of infection. She goes back tomorrow to see if her surgical collar will be removed. After the technicians removed the stitches, they noticed a little swelling in left front leg. Dr. Caputo will check it out tomorrow since he was her surgeon. She had a tumor removed. She is now chasing squirrels and doing her little dance before dinner. I have always taken my pets to this vet. The staff and Dr. Caputo and his other vets are very caring about the animals.

30 plus years of trusted service. A long ride from where I live now, but I won't go anywhere else.

As explained above it has been my experience on many occasions that this is a kind and prompt, reasonably priced veterinarians office. They also have a rodent knowledgeable vet who is very nice, and it's not easy to find a rodent vet, in our case for a rat. I would recommend them to anyone.

I have taken my dog to Caputo Animal hospital since I adopted her. I've always been happy with the service that I have gotten there. This was my first dog, so I don't have much of a frame of reference on costs, but it has seemed reasonable to me. I typically see Dr. Taylor, and does well with my dog, who tends to get very nervous at the vet.

I have 2 cats. One has a seizure disorder. I have been to Caputo several times and have seen different doctors on different occasions. All the vets in the office have been very professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. If I need to get an appt. right away, the office staff are very accomodating. The desk staff is very nice and check out is very fast. They all appear to love animals and like what they do.

I began by seeing Dr. Caputo, the head vet and owner. After a few visits I began to feel that he was irritated with my questions and didn't have time to spend answering them. I switched to another female vet (I believe there are 2 others). They are both very nice, fully competent, and much more patient. The receptionists are generally rude. Overall the vet's office serves its purpose but does not win me over in the service department.

SO UNFRIENDLY and UNPROFESSIONAL. NO RESPONSE FROM PEOPLE AT FRONT DESK. NO HELLO BACK. VET WAS JUST AVERAGE. DIDN'T SOLVE DOG'S PROBLEMS. DIDN'T DIAGNOSE.

I THINK THEY ARE THE BEST. I USE THEM WHENEVER I HAVE TO GO OUT OF TOWN. I WILL BE HAPPY TO TAKE ALL MY CATS TO THEM THE NEXT TIME I GO OUT OF TOWN. I HAVE TOLD MY FRIENDS ABOUT THEM.
