Jimmerson roofing did a great job on my roof and gutters. My house looks completely different and I am very pleased.

They seemed good at the beginning, helping come up with a window design that would reduce our costs as much as possible. But that's where it ended. I tried and tried to get them to communicate with me about a start date, but they were very reluctant to pin themselves down. Since this was a rental and I had to be there to let them in, this was frustrating. However, they still didn't want to be pinned down. Throughout the project, the owner, John Jimmerson was extremely bad at returning phone calls and repeatedly ignored mine. Some of the windows they ordered were the wrong size and had to be reordered and the project took another couple weeks to be completed. The first thing they did that made me mad was to use ceiling paint for the boards that went onto the fascia and soffit. They guy used a crappy cheap brush and just globbed on numerous coats of paint in the morning, not even letting it dry before he globbed on the next coat. When I challenged them about it, Tim said that they could use any kind of flat paint for that application. I finally insisted they use the exterior primer and paint that I had with me. They reluctantly started to use my paint after they'd painted most of the boards with numerous coats of ceiling paint. Later I heard Tim on the phone loudly complaining about how much he hates it when homeowners think they know more than he does! The windows finally got installed and looked fine, but much of the finish trim work never got done. I was at the rental a few weeks after they were (still not quite) done and they were leaking like crazy, with water streaming down the interior walls. Tim said it was from faulty caulk so he came back and re-caulked. I also noted that they had never painted the back side of the fascia board, which you can see from the house. (He said he didn't think anyone would notice...) He slapped up a couple coats of some kind of paint on the exposed boards in about 35 degree weather and called it good. He also said he would aluminum wrap one of the other windows (at no cost) as a favor (maybe because he felt guilty about the other things). After 5 phone calls, it never got done. I will probably have to pay someone to fix the mistakes they made. I can't imagine that brand new, decent quality windows would leak so bad just from bad caulk around the aluminum trim. They must have done something wrong. Anyway, this is just a small snapshot of my extreme frustration with Jimmerson. I would NOT use them again and warn others against them.

They were okay and I consider them a little above average. They did everything in a day so there were several people here. The one thing that bothers me is that I had gutter helmets on my house that they took off and put back on wrong. They should have called the gutter helmet people because I ended up having to pay the gutter helmet people again to have them put back on the right way. So that was a major expense for me since I had just had the gutter helmets put on a year before the roof was done. The roofing itself is fine as far as I know but they cost me a lot of money so I will not use them again in the future

Although the job was done in a timely manner and as far as I know a quality job and I am happy with the roof, I was left with irritation. There are two reasons I wouldn't given them an A. There were a few little trim things that didn't get finished even after a phone call. Minor things I could do myself and ended up having to do myself like a missing short piece of facia, but still.....The second is that I really wish I had been instructed that the process of tearing off the roof would drop gobs of wood and shingle dust and bits and parts into my attic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They did not tell me, therefore, boxes in storage and storage space was dumped over with dirty crappy dust and bits of things that took lots of time and energy and irritation to clean up. If I had been told, I could have protected things and prepared the space. So although many important things were done well this left a bad taste in my mouth. I would advise you to be informed by my experience and not rule out Jimmerson, just prepare in the ways I could not have known.

All phases of my reroofing job were excellent -- from the speedy estimate to tear-off and reshingling to final cleanup. John Jimmerson and his crew are very professional and I would highly recommend this company.

In my interview with him he said that he had very experienced and bonded roofer who he has worked with for a long time. They were very efficient. The owner always came at the end of the job to make sure the job was done correctly. They did the roof in one and a half days. I got two other quotes apart from them and the price was more or less the same. They were very responsive and the quality of their job was very good. I am very happy with them job. They were here at the time they said they will be here. They were very professional.

His labor warranty is longer than most other roofers - 15 year warranty. They did a real good job and got the job done quickly.

Mr. jimmerson called and came to my home right away. I accepted his price. He said he would call before coming and would try to get my job in by the end of the next week (due to rainy weather). I was out all day friday, came home to a message that he had come and did the work.... fine, but I had wanted to be present .

After my initial call John Jimmerson responded swiftly to my request for both separate and combined bids on the two jobs indicated above. Although my initial interest was in having a bid on roof replacement, Mr. Jimmerson was eager to work with me on the siding as well. John provided the estimate on the roof job while he assigned the vinyl bid to his siding crew specialist, Tim Daniels. Both bids were returned to me within 48 hours as John and I reconvened face to face at the property. Of special note, a discount of one thousand dollars was offered if I contracted both jobs with Jimmerson. I found John to be extremely courteous, professional and informative throughout the bidding process. His presentation was very thorough, including provision of a folio of product information, contractor credentials and consumer tips. The packet did not include a reference list which I assume would have been available on request. Jimmerson is a well established company in our community, a fact in which John takes justifiable pride. In the end, I chose to work with a competing business mainly due to job cost and ease of scheduling. Jimmerson's combined bid for virtually identical work and materials was nearly twelve hundred dollars more than that of the firm I chose, even with the thousand dollar discount noted above. That being said, I found John Jimmerson to be very easy and pleasant to work with and professional in all aspects of the bidding process. I would not hesitate to consider him again for future exterior work or suggest his services to others who might be seeking them.

We had a great experience with Jimmerson Roofing. John Jimmerson is incredibly professional, and very easy to work with--I would trust him with any job. His crew was incredibly efficient, and completed the entire roof in one day (our home is a 1500 square foot cape cod). We were also very happy with the color selection of his shingles compared to other quotes--this was very important to us, we chose a slate colored shingle and it is beautiful. John also came up with the best solution for ventilation for our roof, something that hadn't been suggested by our other quotes--he really knows what he is doing. All in all, John Jimmerson seemed to have the smartest and most cost-effective ideas for our roof, and he definitely worked for our best interest. This was a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend Jimmerson Roofing to anyone who needs a new roof!

Fantastic. From the beginning, the owner, John Jimmerson was willing to work with us on this rather complex job. We have a very old house (70 years), with an unusual roof. John returned calls promptly, his workmen showed up exactly when he said they would, and they finished in a timely manner. When it was done, the house looked great. He warned us twice that there would likely be rotten roof boards under the shingles that would exceed the estimate and so, although the final cost was slightly more than the estimate, this was not something under his control and we were prepared for it. The day after the roofers were finished, his gutter men came. They finished in one day. This company is truly professional and, especially if you have an unusual house with gables and dormers, Jimmerson is for you.

I contacted Jimmerson in March to stop a leak around my chimney. He said it needed to be reflashed. I hired him to do it for $1100 (never paid). He reflashed it (base flashing and counterflashing), but it still leaked. He replaced his counterflashing, but it still leaked. I discovered he cracked bricks by attaching the counterflashing with nail driven anchors, which the building inspector determined was poor workmanship. I filed a complaint against him, but withdrew it after he agreed to waive payment. I hired a mason to tear down and rebuild the chimney ($2100). He did that, and in the process replaced the counterflashing but not the base flashing. It still leaked. I hired a second roofer ($200), who discovered the source of the leak. Jimmerson put the shingles on top of the base flashing so they held rain water against the nails. The water leaked in around the nails. The second roofer finally stopped the leak in July, 2009.

Got put in a difficult situation in which , what I thought was a guaranteed price changed, after the roof was off, and a s torm was expected, because they had to replace boards, although that had been part of the original estimate. SO the roof cost $4,000 more than I had planned on, and the cost seemed excessively high for this size roof. Crew was professional, cleaned up well. DId not tell me ahead of time about disruption of satellite TV and possible additional cost ot re-set it, and the pounding disrupted and damaged alarm system in the house. OVerall, the quality of work was good, responsiveness was good, and cost was excessive and unplanned. ALso, when I asked to pay part of bill on credit card, even though they had that capability, they didn't want this, because it cost them money...

The service was done in Summer of 2007. Since then every winter I get slow leaks from melting snow. Last Spring (2008) they came and supposably fixed the problem. Unfortunately last winter I got the leaks again. This Spring they supposably came again. I will find out next winter if my roof is in a better shape. A worker from a siding company (different company) explained that they did not properly flush my dormers. I definitely do not recommend the company.

These guys are phenomenal. John Jimmerson is as straight an honest as anybody I've ever worked with. It took a while for them to get out here (evidently they're pretty busy, even in a sliding economy), but when they did, they hit the job hard, with a great crew and had it done and cleaned up in two days. Really, they were just outstanding.

They had the best price. I was impressed with his quote. When I signed the contract he said it would take 2 weeks to get the materials in. By that time, winter rolled around. I talked to him the other day & told him as far as I was concerned, I did not want to do the roof unless it's 40 degrees or higher outside. He said that was fine lets get together back in March & he said he would not increase the price. I am pretty happy with him & we will find out sometime in April or May on whether or not he does a good job. Basically that is where I'm at. I felt very comfortable with them. I will use them in the future.

John Jimmerson was extremely professional and the price was about the average of the high and low bids on the work. The work crew was extremely professional and hard working. They completed a complicated roof job in about two days and it looks great. We needed to have the roof done within a short time frame and Jimmerson was able to meet our deadline. The quality of work was very good and the crew did a great job cleaning up after the work was complete.

Went great! They arrived when they were supposed to, finished when expected, left the area clean. They did exactly what we asked for. Workers were polite, cheerful, clean and prompt. The estimate and final cost were the same, The roof looks great and we would call them again if needed.

I was pleased with Jimmerson's willingness to measure and mail me a bid to replace my roof. Unlike many companies who insisted on sitting down and trying to sell me their services through a combination of display, which inevitably took up 60 to 90 minutes of my evening. Jimmerson mailed me their bid along with the services they would perform, which was very reasonable in price. I signed and mailed the bid sheet to Jimmerson who then called me approximately a month later to inform me that I would be having shingles delivered to my roof. A week later Jimmerson called to inform me they would begin work. The work was completed in two days with all evidence of their presence being removed. I called back to ask them to attend to one area of siding I wanted replaced. They showed up two days later and I am completely satisfied with the price, timing, and professionalism of the work completed.

After spotting water damage in the house, I called another company which failed to show up at the time scheduled and did not return my follow-up phone call. I then called Jimmerson Roofing who exceeded my expectations. I will hire Jimmerson Roofing when I replace my roof.

They were the most thorough company when getting estimates; this is what impressed me. The man that came out to give the estimate, climbed up to the attic and looked at the vents. Everyone else only looked at the outside of the roof. They came in at one of the lowest prices for the quote and did a lot more work then all the other companies that I had contacted. They installed a soffit vent that goes all the way down the roof line. The only issue I had with them is that my bathroom vent in the wintertime leaks. I think snow is building up and leaking through the fan. They came out and checked it out but I haven't found out yet if it's resolved yet. I would use them again for future service, if needed.
