West Michigan Window Cleaning Plus

Worst experience ever. I honestly felt violated after using this company. They charged $500 for a power wash and a gutter clean and were here for about an hour. My windows were trashed after they finished (ironic). They used a power washer to blow out the gutters which then splattered throughout the yard. The power washing of the house also blew through my front door and all over the walls and floor. They missed an entire section of the house. Lazy, sloppy work. And, to top it off, my neighbors just informed me that they heard them talking in what they perceived as a threatening and "a way not nice" manner outside of my house. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.

Unfortunately I am leaving a very poor review because the owner made a mistake and instead of apologizing and trying to remedy the situation he actually blamed me and my husband for it. He actually said the words "you should man up to your wife" after my husband told him how angry I am over the situation. I would never use this company again and will make sure no one via word of mouth will either. Let me explain the incident. I scheduled an appointment for Wednesday May 22 at noon. I have a class every Wednesday from 3:15-5:30 then we as a family go straight to my children's grief group. Every. Single. Wednesday. This is our schedule.....important piece to note. Anyway, the owner calls me at 11:40 on the 22nd and tells me it's raining so they won't be cleaning today. It had been raining for several hours and I had called him around 10am and left a voicemail to cancel so I could go about my day, assuming they wouldn't be here. Again, never heard back til 20 minutes before appointment. He said to me "I'm not in the office so let me call you back when I return and I can look at my schedule so we can get out there another day." Ok, good. Except I NEVER HEARD BACK. I have checked all phone records and this was THE last time I had ever spoken to this man. Well, we left for memorial vacation and I thought Hmm, I guess I will have to call him when we get back. Fast forward to today when I get out of class at 5:30 and get a text from my husband stating the window washers showed up at 4:30 and are here so the kids and I can't meet you at their grief group. EXCUSE ME WHAT!?! Why would they just show up on Wednesday the 29th at 4pm!? I was beyond upset to say the least.... Livid would be more accurate. My husband had NO idea what was going on and questioned him about it but unfortunately instead of turning them away he let them in....not good. I called the owner and was P---ed off, saying we never set up this appointment to which he never one time said he was sorry and that he was mistaken. He literally said that I set this appointment up. Now unless some woman with the same number called him it sure as heck wasn't me (because obviously our Wednesday evening is busy with things more important than clean windows!) Biggest mistake a business owner does is argue with the customer about why he's right and we are wrong knowing full well that is not true then by saying "this had never happened in 16 years!" I'm not buying it. He wrote down the appointment wrong....plain and simple. maybe he even called and left a message with someone else but it certainly wasn't me (cell phone records don't lie!) Anyway, our night ended with my husband and I in a fight, both of us getting into an angry back and forth with the owner with no apologies and him telling us he's right and we are wrong and my kids' night of grief group (which they look forward to alllll week) being ruined. Lengthy but necessary review. Wayne needs to change his attitude and learn how to apologize to customers when necessary. It is a shame because he actually does a nice job of cleaning windows. Will be looking for a new company. What a nightmare this experience was.
