My chimney had rotted boards on it that were in dire need of replacement. I hired MZK because of their knowledge of the situation and their high rating on Angie's list. MZK recommended using PVC trim so that I would never have a rot problem again. MZK took care of everything including getting matching paint, purchasing and installing the boards and painting.

Made appointment with office, appointment had to be rescheduled. Stated repeatedly that I wanted to be home when the roof was inspected so I could point out the problem. Was given a definite time when inspection would be done and arranged to be home at that time. However, the inspector finished another job early and showed up several hours before appointment time. I was contacted by phone but was on the other side of town and could not get home immediately. Inspector went ahead, apparently put some roofing tar on areas which I had already tarred (without fixing the problem) and left. Unprofessional and unsatisfactory.

Scheduling went really well, the receptionist was good to work with. They came out, looked over the roof and told my husband that nothing was wrong with the roof. We are still having problems with water intrusion.

Sometimes water can seem to come in through the roof, but may actually be coming in from another location - for example a common problem is leaks coming in from behind siding. The original flashing on our roof didn't go up high enough. When MZK left, he told us to give him a call after a rain if there were any remaining leaks. There was some leaking after a heavy rain and we called him back out. He came right back out and did some touch up work. He didn't charge for the second visit. It's been about 3 months since his work, and it's been working perfectly!

My experience did not go well. The gutter cleaning portion left a mess behind and I had to call them to have them clean up their mess. I also had to call them back to follow up about the roof inspection and to see the pictures they took. They missed the opportunity to present a roofing bid knowing the condition of my roof, I had to ask them about that. If they were being proactive, they would have done it without me asking.

That turned out fine. The guy came out and I was impressed. He stayed for about 20 minutes to half an hour. He patched a shingle and patched a hole in my chimney. He was very informative too.

They were on time, neat and efficient. There were no spills or splashes that weren't dealt with and they even took care of some nail pops which they found as they progressed. The house has beautiful hardwood floors on the main level and I was nervous about getting paint on them, but it didn't happen. The house is relatively new, but needed some cosmetic updating. Looks great now!

It was very good. They were very quick to contact us to set up an appointment. They were flexible with the time they could come. My husband actually dealt with them but he had only good things to say. They were really helpful. They explained everything about the assessment really well to him so that he was comfortable about what he wanted to do moving forward.

They were punctual, very friendly yet professional, they eased her mind regarding any concerns she had and when they were done she had them back again to get rid of any mold in her attic. I would definitely use them again when the need arises.

I have mixed feelings about it. They came out and did the inspection. He gave me a quote on how much it would cost to fix it. He gave me a quote of $175 and I told him to come on out and do the repair. When he got out here he changed it to $350. He said that it was $175 per piece and I had two. Then he said that he should charge me travel time because this is the second time that I have come out. He did an okay job, the communication was not right. The quality was fine and he was punctual once I gave him a time. He was a nice guy and I am not sure if I would use him again.

We had purchased a big deal for the service. They came out and they did fine. They were punctual, they called ahead, and they explained everything. They didn't try to sell us anything.We didn't pay anything more than the big deal.

Had some difficulty connecting initially because the answering machine wasn't working, so I used the e-mail on Angie's list to explain that situation and why I wanted to talk directly to someone. The response was above and beyond what I would expect. Turns out there was some problem with their phone provider and my reporting this in my e-mail was greatly appreciated and let to it being corrected. Though I was told in the e-mail I did not have to be home for the inspection, I explained that some dry wall in the garage had fallen, and I wanted to make sure there was no active leak before repairing the drywall. We had a previous leak repaired. I was told that if I could not be home when the inspector was going to be in my neighborhood, she would arrange a special time since I did need to be home. I thought that was exceptional. Turns out I was able to be home after all.
After the inspection, i was told that there is no leak from the roof at this time, and, in fact, the roof is in good condition.
He did indicate the Big Deal called for a single story roof, and I have two, but he said he would do it anyway. At first this sounded really good, but I was left wondering if the inspection was quite as thorough as if I didn't have two levels. I am only saying this because another contractor who was out for something else afterwards, did point out a couple of areas that might need caulking or minor repairs. Since I am not a contractor, I cannot say what is correct. I did feel that the inspection was rather quick for the size of our roof. So, since nothing was recommended to do, I can't really appropriately rate the workmanship. I can only say that the willingness of this company to work around my schedule was a positive sign about their relationship with their customers.

Terri did a great job of cleaning the gutters. The weather was not great and the leaves just kept falling. He was very professional. I was very impressed with the pictures of the problems on the roof.
