I brought 2 cats in. It is excellent. They are very good and very caring. My cats are not happy about going to the vet but they are very patient and caring. I've always had good experiences with the staff.

Our indoor-only cat had escaped and was missing for 3 weeks. A neighbor finally found him and we got him back. However, since we have another indoor only cat, we did not want one infecting the other prior to a checkup. We got both cats up to date with shots and a general health evaluation. The appointments right on time. The doctor was friendly and informative with a practical approach on how to treat our cats. He told us of our options and what the estimated cost would be for each. He also gave us tips on what to do for preventing future escapes. Overall, it was an excellent visit without any hassle or unexpected costs.

8/12/2013: We took our cat, Chooch, to Lisner Animal Hospital (LAH) because he was having difficulty breathing. Our initial impression was that Dr. Lisner and his staff were caring and professional. After the exam, blood draw and x-rays ($424), Dr. Lisner's diagnosis was bronchitis, no pleural effusion (i.e., fluid around the lungs). Two meds were prescribed, antibiotic and steroid.
8/14/2013: Still no improvement in Chooch's breathing. Continued administration of meds.
8/17/2013: Chooch experienced extreme difficulty breathing. We took him to Michigan Veterinary Specialists (MVS) for emergency care. MVS administered oxygen, and did extensive testing -- showed more x-rays, which showed significant pleural effusion, an enlarged heart and infection. MVS then drained 133 ml of fluid from Chooch's chest.
A very slight improvement in Chooch's breathing lasted only a day or so before he died, gasping for breath.
Chooch was over 17 years old. If Dr. Lisner had told us that Chooch's x-rays revealed there were several grave medical problems, instead of bronchitis, we probably would have had Chooch euthanized. We not only could have avoided further invasive testing and treatment at MVS, but also could have ended Chooch's suffering.

They provide excellent service and have an outstanding staff. I highly recommend them. I know they do boarding and grooming; I have never used the services. They have a nice boarding facility. I love Dr. Lisner. There is nothing that I dislike. He is very personal and takes his time. He understands pets. I have nothing but positive things. I can always get an appointment anytime I've called; they will always take us. They are very flexible and accommodating as far as that goes. Their staff is very accommodating. They have all been there a long time. So we get to know them and they get to know us. They are very friendly and easy to work with. I find him to be very reasonably priced all across the board. He never sells us anything that we don't need. They are terrific. I love them; that's why I keep going back. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

They take excellent care of my animals for me, when my husband and I moved from Texas, we had two cats and a dog, all of which lived much longer than what was expected, and we now have two other cats and a dog that have been rescued and they now take care of them as well.
All of the staff are extremely nice, as is Dr. Lisner, himself, and they even have a trainer to help train the animals and train the owners as well.

He is the most unusual doctor. When you are with him he does not bother about anything else. He treats you like you are his only patient. I rate him high overall except the price. He does a very good job. He is quite something.

Their price is a little high. The surgery was excellent. The staff is very professional and very responsive. The staff is very caring for the animals and the people who own them. The vet always tries a less evasive cheaper route first before suggesting something that would be more costly and more evasive for the animals.

This vet is great and his prices are reasonable. I have taken my dogs and cats to him and he is great with them and you can tell he really cares about the animals he works with. His staff is great too!
