HEALY HOMES

Healy Homes built my house on a new lot in Lyon Township Michigan. They have provided a 1 year warrantee and agreed to complete some tasks after close. Those tasks include a replacing a cabinet door and final grade of the yard.
As of the middle of June they have not replaced the cabinet door yet. They have sent a replacement twice that was not the correct door. The vendor came to the house and discovered the wrong cabinets were installed. I reluctantly agreed to accept the wrong color cabinets.
The final is not complete yet and Dave, the building forman, refuses to complete the work even though Jack Healy agreed to complete the final grade in the spring as part of the closing documents. With the recent rains, water is pooling in the back yard, less than 20 yards from the drain. Completing the agreed upon task will allow the water to drain into the sewer system.
Dave has also refused to clean up the construction debris left in the yard. That debris includes morter and garbage such as pieces of pipes, empty construction adhesive tubes, and wire banding. All of the debris was left due to closing in winter. It should have been removed as part of the final grade.
The vendors working for Healy Homes are builing another home next door and continue to throw more garbage on my property and Dave refuses to do anything about it.
I have left several messages at the main office and my phone calls are not being returned. I have other warrantee work that needs to be performed as well.
There are half a dozen builders in the area developing new complexes. I recommend choosing one of the other builders and avoiding Healy Homes. Healy Homes is currently building in The Orchards of Lyon and Carriage Club in South Lyon. I do not recommend purchasing a home in either development.

GOOD, COST OF WORK WAS DIFFICULT TO BLUEPRINT, CHARGED MORE THAN WE EXPECTED TO PAY.

OVERALL, WE HAD A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE. THE SALES OFFICE WAS FRIENDLY AND THE ENTIRE PROCESS WENT SMOOTHLY. THE WORK WAS COMPLETED WITH QUALITY MATERIALS AND IN A TIMELY MANNER. THE ONLY NEGATIVE IS THAT THE 'EXTRAS' ADD UP FAST. THE HOUSE COMES WITH PRETTY GOOD STANDARD OPTIONS. WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH OUR NEW HOME.
