Very neat work.

Preparation is so important and Travis and his father had the skills and tools to really clean the surface before applying the sealer.

Fast and efficient.

Travis gave me an initial quote over the phone. I asked him to come to the house to actually look at the job, but he said it was not necessary because he had seen it on Google Earth. I told him the drive was cracked. He said he would fill cracks with hot rubber prior to seal coating. When he arrived, he said there were too many cracks, and it would take him too long. He would just seal coat. Even though he performed less than he initially said he would, he charged me the same price,$500.00. Within 24 hours, the end of the drive, where it met the road, was a big blank spot with the sealcoating mounded up on the other side of it, along the road. It looked like frosting put on a warm cake. I immediately called him, he said he knew it would do that b/c the hole there had dirt in it, and it would not stick to it. He never informed me of that possibility the day he did the job. Had he, we could have possibly avoided that mess. I told him I needed to have that fixed, he offers to do so for an additional$500.00! Then he lowered to $300.00, when I objected to the price, and the fact I felt it to be his responsibility. He also told me to just throw pea gravel in it, and call it good. I feel he was trying to take advantage of me. Prior to writing this review, I notified Travis I did not want him to come to fix the problem, because I did not want to pay anymore money. I informed him I would not be recommending him. He has now offered to fix the problem for free. I would not recommend him, nor would I trust him.

Pointed out cracks we especially wanted filled prior to any sealer to the estimator. He assured us this areas would get hot tar plus sealcoat. Had to leave before he was done and paid him the estimated amount before we left. The cracks in the top half of the driveway were barely filled--big gaps in coverage. Called Mason's Asphalt Sealing, LLC as soon as we got home and saw even small, thin cracks not filled by hot tar nor sealer. Company never returned our call. Had to buy tubes of crack filler and bucket of sealer. Did the whole top half of the driveway ourselves. It It's amazing--we were able to fill the cracks completely. The estimator was quick to point out how the original paving was done wrong. We should not have had to buy extra products and redo the work ourselves.
