WASTE MANAGEMENT

Sterling Heights offers recycling thru Waste Management for a monthly fee, I decided to sign up a few months ago.  I started by submitting a form on their website asking for information on their recycling program (hoping I could complete the sign up online and save a phone call), I waited a few days and did not receive a response.  At that point I called them, and was able to sign up over the phone.  Their customer sales rep was very nice, she said that they would deliver a bin in the next few days, and would bill me for the fees instead of paying over the phone.  The recycling can was at my house by noon the next day, I have had no problems with their pickup service and am happy that I signed up with them.  2 months after I submitted that online form I received an email response with the information that I requested.  I do not know why there was such a delay, I would recommend that anyone who needs to contact them skip the online form and go straight to a phone call.

Give them sons of bi&#hes a D because I can't stand them.  It's included in my taxes so it urks me even more.  The people on the phone get a good grade. 

Their service is part of Condo association which covers my expenses for it. They send me letters if there is any offer. I do not have any complaints against them. Some of the things are hard for me to grade just because I don't come in contact their people. I would use them in the future.

Our subdivision used another company before our move in May 2006, but we weren't happy with them, so decided to try WM after we moved. We've been happy with the regular trash collection and their office professionalism, but are disappointed that they won't accept some of the materials for recycling that we were able to recycle with our other company (i.e. cardboard and junk mail).

Bad. Over the course of a year, we had 3-4 garbage cans damaged, spent a great deal of time cleaning up their messes, calling them to inform of a missed pickup, billing errors and unfriendly staff. We finally left after about 1.5 years.

Fair price, on time and clean.
