My new-to-me but old home had a power box that looked like everything was fine,  yet random outlets and rooms didn't have power. and Tom spent a great deal of time with me trying to figure out where the problem was, how the house was wired. Eventually, we figured out in one room that it was simply a loose connection in the wall outlet. Tom took extra time to check EVERY room's outlets, and opened each one up and fixed the loose piece in each. He was very thorough, courteous, and explained everything he was doing/looking at. I felt very confident that if I need an electrician again, he is the one I would call. 
When I did call him for another non-urgent project, he was very straightforward about not being able to come out at that time. He suggested I might need to call someone else if I wanted the work to be done right away, because he was committed for a few days. I decided to hold off on my project, and wait for when he is available.
