What a nightmare. We had an old Escape that had blown its engine and we were planning to donate to charity, but our daughter totaled her car so it was cheaper to replace the engine then replace a car. This repair shop had good reviews on Angie List, quoted a price in the range of what we expected to pay, offered a one-year warranty, and AAA approved. They came and promptly towed our car to their shop. We felt good about it the first week and the second week. Then it was the third week, the fourth week, the fifth week, the sixth week and then the seventh week. When we could get someone to return our calls, the response was always the engine guy was backed up. To add insult to injury, around the fifth week, they had an accident at the shop and our car was rear-ended. The bumper fell off and the tail light was broken. They kept pushing back on repairing the bumper, but we finally agreed to $4,000 (compared to $4,325 quoted) for the seven-week inconvenience and they would repair the bumper. After we handed over the check, we got the car and looked at the repair. Their definition of repairing the bumper was to attach it to the car with zip ties. We went inside to complain, but of course no manager was on duty and no one called us the following day. As we drove home with the loosely-attached bumper thumping against the back end of the car, we decided to stop payment on the check until we could get a quote for the repair and give them the difference. However, we didn't have time as they were very prompt & efficient in calling the local police department to accuse us of fraud. The police detective said to just pay it. It's not worth hiring attorney to have them properly attach the bumper as agreed and unfortunately the warranty is useless because we wouldn't go back there to go through the struggle of dealing with them again. We don't recommend them for a major repair.

I had a major exhaust pipe and muffler problem and had to get it fixed over the weekend. I had previously used Garfield Canal on several instances from Brakes to electrical systems to towing and AAA rescue. In this case no after market parts available, OEM Lexus was going to charge $1450 for the mufflers and pipes! Jeff at Garfield Canal spent great effort utilizing his network of options and he was able to customs build a replacement and install for less than $300! A place you can trust and depend on when you need it the most.

Found them when my car broke down on a busy street, they came quick and dropped me off at home before taking my car to their place.  They called me with an estimate later on in the day, and Jeff the service manager told me that the bad part on my car would be under warranty at a dealership.  I had no idea that this part was covered on my car for up to 80,000 miles by Dodge, he said that he confirmed with them that it would be a free repair and said they could tow it to whichever dealership I wanted to use.  I appreciate his honesty, being that I didn't know about the warranty if he would have given me a price to fix it I would have said yes. My total bill included 2 tows and a fee for a mechanic to look at the car, they were able to have me pay over the phone and tow it to the dealer without me having to go in.  I appreciate the honesty and integrity of this business, and I plan to use them in the future.

They picked up the car; called with diagnosis; called to advise that car was ready -- all in the same day.

I have had several run-ins with these clowns over the years. First off bring your wallet and credit cards as they will charge you top dollar. And if you have a small repair you want made just to make it drivable, they will require you make other non-necessary repairs or they will not even touch your car. If this was the LAST repair shop left on earth I would either fix it myself or buy a BIKE.

Overall the experience was great I plan to use them again.
