It went terribly. There was a big bleach spot in the middle of the room after he finished the job and he told me to get a rug to cover it up. He did a horrible job and I had to have someone else come in and finish the job ($1,387.00 for another provider to fix the work). I do not think this provider should be working on hardwood floors- he should stick to carpeting. I tried getting a hold of him numerous times and I never got a response back.

Prestige floors was never given a chance to address the floor issues. The only call I received was the customer telling me he had it redone and he hung up. The bleached spot was in the floor before we began and it was explained to the homeowner that its always going to be there, the only way to hide it is to go really dark, against my professional advice he Chose strait finish which hides nothing.

Steve Paynter of Prestige Custom Wood floors did a FANTASTIC job of matching up the color of stain from family room into the hall which I thought would be an impossible job -- but not for Steve. He matched the color exactly in just 2 tries.. Another wonderful thing --- no dust from all the standing! I can't say enough good things about our experience and we highly recommend him for any wood floors that you may be thinking of doing. Steve was thorough, professonal, reasonably priced. Description of Work: The day after I called Steven Paynter he came out to measure and give me an installation price for my hardwood floors.Our hardwood is rosewood, which is one of the hardest on the market. He gave us a price to install 770 sq ft, install landing and steps upstairs, install a radius step from out rkitchen into our family room( a major feat), and furnish, stain and install approx 300 ft. of shoe molding. He put much thought into each cut he made. I cant tell you how beautiful these floors look. Steve is quite an artist, finishing my stair ends expertly. The large radius step into our family room is also a work of precision and beauty. He is very competent, honest , reliable and loves his work.
