Knoppe Cabinet Refinishing

Jon and his team did a beautiful job. They also came back twice for warranty services to touch up some scratches on the cabinets. We are very happy with what they have done for us.

We priced out several options for refinishing and refacing kitchen cabinets, including cabinet veneers, traditional paint, and Knoppe. We found cabinet veneers to be too expensive, traditional paint looked too painted-on and not durable enough, but we liked Knoppe's product and price point. Knoppe's crew was professional, friendly, and thorough. They refinished a kitchen full of cabinets and drawers, painted the hinges black (from bronze) and installed new handles. Combined with new counters and appliances, we got a new kitchen for less than half the price. Knoppe even came back when we had a few minor problems (which arose due to the extreme age of our cabinets and the large change from dark to white) and fixed them for free in a few hours.

From the first interaction in quoting the job, to completing the final touches, Jon Knoppe was great to work with. He is a small co. and is directly involved in every aspect of the job. At a cost of less than half of refacing the kitchen cabinets, Jon delivered an EXCELLENT QUALITY JOB! My wife is thrilled with the her new look kitchen in a dove white finish. It looks beautiful (together with the new appliances/granite/flooring). We would highly recommend Jon to anyone needing high quality cabinet refinishing.

Outstanding quality work at a fair price. For us it was 1/3 the cost of refacing. The painting process used by Knoppe Cabinets covered the grain on our oak cabinets and produced a finish on them with the same look, quality, and durability of new cabinets. Jon was very helpful in making a decision on the selection of hinges. Highly recommended.

A sample was brought during the quote visit which was very helpful in understanding the quality of work. A price was provided on site and work was scheduled within a week. The team was professional and the work was completed in one day. Above all, the quality of work is outstanding. The cabinets and vanity are like new.

John didn't excellent job. He changed my ugly honey oak cheap style cabinets to a white dove shaker style cabinet and drawers. He also added pulls to the cabinets and drawers. He was very pleasant and professional to work with. I would definitely work with him again when I redo the bathrooms.

Project went well from my initial contact to completion of the job. Very responsive when asked for an initial quote. Scheduling was easy - and the quoted price was maintained. You have the flexibility of multiple color and stain choices, literally any Benjamin Moore color, which aids in a remodel. Jon also added new hinges and handles (customer supplied). The cabinets look brand new at a fraction of the cost. The quality of workmanship was very good.

Jon was great. He was really easy to get in contact with and did an EXCELLENT job! I had oak cabinets from the 90s (that looked outdated) painted to a white dove color. The finish was beautiful! This was a wonderful job, and I've given Jon all A's.  I just wish I could bump it up to an A+ for the quality.  Everything looks brand new.  This is the best paint job I've ever seen: surfaces are gleaming, smooth and perfect, with no drips, spills, divots, cracks, dents, or spatter, thanks to meticulous attention to detail.  The cupboards and vanities are built-ins dating back to the 60's, basically sound but getting a little beat-up looking.  The job of rehabbing them was a two-phase process, with drawers and doors going out to the shop to be done, and then the shop coming in to the house to do the boxes.  The project went smoothly, with two young men, Marcus and Casey, doing most of the sanding and prepping, and Jon doing the actual painting.  All were prompt, efficient, professional and thorough, leaving behind no mess for me to clean up.  Thank you, Jon.

Jon and his crew did an excellent job.  We had traditional oak cabinets and had him paint them white and add a pewter wash.  This requires a lot of prep work and many coats of filler, primer and final coat to make sure the oak grain doesn't show through.  He took about 100 doors and drawers to his shop and got them perfect.  He then prepped and painted all of the cabinet facings in our house.  He also did a few extra things that he did not charge us for, like painting a part from our oven that had been stained and came back a couple months later to add a pewter wash to the end cabinet side walls because we decided later that we wanted that done.
I would highly recommend Jon.  He's very accommodating and professional.

Jon is outstanding in estimating cost and completing the work timely. He is very thorough and professional in  managing the customers demands and work completion. He takes his time in making sure the color selection is exactly what you want. The cabinets look great the crew cleaned up very well and we are very happy with the end result. We are planning to do two other rooms and are looking forward to working with Knoppe Cabinet Refinishing again. I would highly recommend Jon to anyone thinking of replacing or refacing their cabinets vs. repainting(what Knoppe provides) it is much cheaper and looks great.

We dealt with Jon and he was incredible. Answered all our questions. Work was done in a timely manner and were very neat. Cleaning up after completion. We gave him a door to match to and he matched it perfect. The job was better than we had expected and much less expensive than other quotes. We at Home Depot send someone out ( N hence) and they were 170% higher. We definitely made the right choice with Jon and plan on using him again. Super job.

We contracted Jon to restain our cabinets in various rooms in a house we had just bought. The old cabinets were nice but we wanted a darker cherry finish. Jon was not the cheapest quote but he seemed the most competent and we are very pleased with the end result. Jon worked with us to find the exact shade we wanted and the end result is even better than we had hoped for! The cabinets now look much better than they ever did and are the highlight of the house. 







We were using multiple contractors to renovate the house before moving in and Jon was the easiest/most professional to work with. Once we finalized the color, he completed the rest of the project with no effort/monitoring needed on our part. I can be a bit of a perfectionist but with Jon, there was no need for any follow up. Everything was completed just right. We would not hesitate to use Jon for any future restaining work.
