Flooring
I was very excited to finally be able to get new carpet in my house but I was very disappointed with the installation. Here's why.... * I had to insist to the installers that the new tack board I paid for was used as opposed to the old, stained and animal smelly boards. According to them, if the old boards had enough grip they could be used again....NOT!!! * They didn't bring any new finish trim and used my old, scratched up and bent trim, (although they said that they could bring some at a later time). Isn't the finish trim part of the installation?!?! * After the old carpet and pad was removed, I hurried to vacumn up the dirt before the new pad was laid on top of it because their 'quickie' sweep left debris on the floor. They were just going to cover the dirt up. * One of the installers tried to move my piano back by himself which resulted in the leg being broken. My roommate assisted getting the piano back onto the slider and into place. Although ALL 4 of us heard the loud crack as the leg snapped, the installers have denied that it ever happened, as well as denying their sub standard installation practices. This experience has me regretting using Blower & Sons. I had wanted to support a local business and had hoped for a more professional outcome. Photos show the sloppy seam between my living room and dining room, the old mismatched trim that I initially had, (even missing a nail in one), the broken piano leg as well as a chip to the back edge that wasn't there prior to the attempted move, and one of the sloppy stair seams showing strings and fibers that were left hanginhmg and exposed.

Flooring
I hired a contractor to remove some wallpaper in my house. This contractor damaged my flooring. The contractor agreed to replace my Pergo floor. The contractor hired Don Blower and Sons to install the new Pergo that was purchased through Lowes. Immediately after installation, I noticed multiple seams in the flooring that were either lifted or sunken. I contacted Don Blower and he told me that he had been having problems recently with laminate flooring and that I may have to wait for 30 days for these seams to settle. He also damaged an oak riser that had to be removed to install the flooring. Some oak wood pieces that had to be removed around a pedestal were also damaged during the removal process of the old floor. Don Blower came out to look at my concerns and agreed there was nothing he could do to fix the issues and blamed the issues on the Pergo flooring. Don Blower said he would get with Lowes. He never did. I had to make multiple requests to get the purchase receipt so I could contact Lowes myself. I contacted Lowes and they contacted Pergo. An independent inspector came out and Pergo denied my claim, stating it was due to the poor installation. The installers did not bring the laminate flooring to my house 48 hours in advance so the flooring could "acclimate" to my house. There was also one wall in which they did not maintain the necessary 3/8 inch clearance needed. Lowes supported me again with Pergo, because the inspector said 75% of the seams were concaved. Pergo then agreed to replace the flooring if Lowes did the install. Lowes installed the same flooring again, with no issues. Both the inspector and Lowes said they never heard of having to wait 30 days for the flooring to settle.

Flooring, Carpet Installation
Not soon after he finished installing this carpet we were getting really bad ripples everywhere. It became so you couldn't walk without tripping. I immediately called him to have him out to correct these problems and for close to a year and a half now he has given me nothing but yes answers and he will be out and he never comes. I would never use him again and I will not recommend him to anyone.
