ADVANCED PET CARE OF OAKLAND

I have been using them for about 10 years and they are wonderful. They take an honest interest in the animals, are compassionate, and are sympathetic to the pet owner. You can tell that they truly love what they do.

Advanced Pet Care is on of the few places that treats small animals so it was a relief to find them in my area. They were very professional and since they mostly see cats and dogs, they were very excited to see our guinea pigs. The fact that they are also willing to board them when we are out of town is a real load off my mind. My neighbors are no longer able to do it for us. My only negative is that there is always a little bit of a wait, even with an appointment but they take good care of our pets so I really can't complain.

My cat had collapsed and stopped breathing at home. I drove him to the closest vet, which was Advanced Pet Care (our regular vet is 20 minutes away). I arrived with my cat and quickly told them what happened. They immediately went into action, performing CPR, administering fluids, and epinephrine. The front desk staff took basic information about myself and about my cat's name, age, and health history and provided me with a private exam room to wait in. In the rush, I had forgotten my cell phone and they loaned me one to call my husband in the privacy of the exam room. During my wait, they brought me bottled water and checked on me several times to see if I needed anything. Although they were unable to revive my cat, they were very professional, sympathetic and kind in all of their interactions with us. Even though we had never been there before, we felt welcome and cared about. They assisted us with making final decisions and planning afterward, and provided us with items needed for transporting him home and for burial at no charge. The billing was also taken care of in the exam room, which was greatly appreciated during a very stressful event.

I like them very well. I don't have children, I have dogs. The fact that I had to bring my dogs in t he first week I was there. Then when I brought them in for their regular check up she remembered us. I like the way they great the patients, I like their conversations with their receptionists about different things. They are very accommodating, very nice. They can be a little expensive. For somebody who is looking for cheap veterinary care, they may be a little expensive.

Although I was very impressed with the one female veterinarian that cared for my puppy during her two-day stay, I was very, very disappointed with the overall experience!!!!. The one female vet was kind, compassionate and I felt my dog was being cared for as if it were her own dog. I felt there was a huge inflated cost associated with the service (which I realize was out of her control). Let me note that although you are paying for an overnight at this facility, there is no one looking after your beloved pet. I have no idea how the average person can afford to care for their sick animals!!. There was a lot of emphasis on making payments and the cost of services which disgusted me. I could not wait for my little puppy to be stabilized so that I could take her to a facility that would see her to good health. I would like to emphasize there is one good, compassionate vet at this facility that I had a good experience with!!!!!! Why do you work there?????

The staff and doctors are very kind and professional.

I like them because they were able to diagnose a problem on a previous dog I had who passed away, and other veterinarians couldn't. They don't have any boarding facilities, but they are about to get them because they are moving.
