recently had them service a Samsung dryer. It took a couple weeks to get an appointment, which is the new normal, I guess. The guy that came was a bit awkward and uncomfortable to be around and they did not have the parts needed to fix the dryer (the guy implied he normally would but that someone took them off his truck). Nearly 1 month later, they still hadn't been back to fix. I had checked in a couple times for an update and the guy that answers always seems bothered and says there's nothing they can do since they can only order from ONE place. so. I ordered the parts off Amazon, they came to replace and the guy was just as uncomfortable as the first time. this time he implied the parts may never have even been ordered. any ways, he got the dryer running but now it makes this God awful screeching. I do not want to call them back so will likely just have to buy a new dryer

I contacted Heydlauff's via email to inquire about the range I wanted. They were quick to reply and provide answers to all of my questions. Heydlauff's customer service and technicians provided excellent service.

Over the phone, they took down the serial numbers for my appliances so they could look for the parts. At first Otto said he didn't want to buy the part for my oven because if it turned out not to be the problem, they wouldn't be able to return it. I let him know that I would like the oven to be repaired as quickly as possible. When he came out to the house, he said he decided to go ahead and purchase the part anyway as he was pretty confident that was the problem. He was correct and so the problem was fixed that day. It turned out that the part he bought for the icemaker wouldn't work, but he glued a piece that got the icemaker working and did not charge us for it. I was very impressed with the service and would definitely use them again in the future.

The office was very pleasant when I initially called. The serviceman called to set up the appointment just as I was told he would. The serviceman came in the time frame we were told and the entire procedure of diagnostic and repair was performed in a little over an hour. I would recommend to my friends to use this business!

The dryer is working now. Only took about 45 minutes. Thus far seems to have gone pretty smoothly.

Was having trouble with an old 13 year old washing machine. Called Heydlauff's Appliances and talked to them about service vs. buying new. Due to the age and parts needed for the repair, (oh yea, and the cost!) we decided to go to Heydlauff's Appliances and talk to them about options for a new washer. You get something different when you visit Heydlauff's Appliances vs. when you go to the big box stores. You get personal attention, low pressure, same if not better quality, and one of the biggest reasons is service and delivery. Some of the big box and quot;contractorsand quot; used to deliver, install, and service are just plain scary, really prefer never to have them in my house again. Big box contractors also have done poor work at times (some good work too to be honest).
One more thing on big box - if you have noticed, the salespeople are motivated and judged by selling you extended warranties and credit cards. Both are plain stupid and a waste. Credit is bad, most people get buried by it, and the extended warranty is a waste - just keep an emergency fund around to handle that. Heydlauff's Appliances can offer you credit if needed, but will not push it down your throat.
So, we did get a great Electrolux washing machine, at a good price, fantastic sales experience, perfect install, and good solid hometown people throughout the whole process.
One more thing on big box - if you have noticed, the salespeople are motivated and judged by selling you extended warranties and credit cards. Both are plain stupid and a waste. It went perfectly. Steve Heydlauff came and performed the service for us. He was very personable, polite and obviously knew how to fix the problem. He was here about an hour and we had a nice discussion. We were very impressed.

I called and was able to schedule an appointment in 5 days. The repairman came on time, spent an hour performing diagnostics and of course the washer was working. I proceeded to use it and it didn't work. He returned within the hour ran some more testd to determine the problem. The part was ordered and my washer was fixed within a weeks time.

We purchased a gas cooktop and range and had it installed through Heydlauf's in Chelsea, MI. Marie in sales was excellent. We accomplished everything by phone. Their experienced installer visited beforehand to be sure our planned purchases would fit. He was in contact with the store and called us in a timely manner to schedule our installation, before family arrived. There prices are also competetive, no more than other area discounter's or internet sites. This seems to be the only Appliance store with reliable installation in the Ann Arbor. Area. The overall experience was excellent. I would definitely consider buying through Heydlauf's again.

These guys are great! I've purchased every major appliance from them for the past 25 years because their service is so excellent. My friend went at lunch to purchase a refrigerator because theirs had died by the time she got home from work... her new refrigerator was cold and all the food had been transferred into it. NOW, that is service! They come when they say, do excellent work and charge competitive prices.
