John-Boy Electric

Overall, the job went pretty well. John-Boy Electric was the only electrician to call me back when calling for estimates. John came to the house in a timely manner to perform estimate. We shook hands, but didn't get a written estimate, so I E-mailed John a description of work to be performed with the cost we shook hands on. His crew used my instructions as a "work order" to ensure customer expectations were met. A date for work was established- crew showed up on time and performed required work. The only issue was a break in the underground wire to the pole barn. This was a pre-existing condition as I damaged the wire while trenching 20 years ago. This was discovered at the end of the day, so they would have to come back to fix it. It took about 3 weeks to come back for the final repair-not a huge deal, but I called every week for an update. Would have been better customer service to provide scheduling updates from their end. There was an ice storm with extensive power outages they were responding to that slowed their response time for the final fix. The crew did a nice job, cleaned up well and were very courteous. I recommend John-Boy Electric to anyone needing their expertise.

They brought a smaller generator than I originally purchases, but he did finally replace it with the correct one. They were not as punctual as they could have been, but the work was sufficient.

Called John on the recommendation of a co-worker.  John was prompt in returning my calls, came out on short notice to meet and give a bid.  He squeezed me into their busy schedule and got the work done.  They were timely, friendly, and easy to work with.  And the price was fair and reasonable for the quality of work - would definitely use John-Boy again if we need electrical work done at our house. 
On a side-note, John was able to recommend a painter for us that has also worked out very well.

All details were handled by John Parrish, and work was completed to our satisfaction.

It was a very good price. It was $4,250 for the generator and about $650 for getting the natural gas plumbed in and getting that wired. They did a good job. They got it in on time. They were excellent.

We liked everything about them. They were very knowledgeable and knew exactly what they were doing.

The job was completed to our satisfaction. The bill was in the amount of $375, which I reduced by $5 using a coupon related to Agies List. We did not ask for a detailed estimated beforehand.  John - Boy Electric furnished two men, plus their truck,and one fairly long length of wire. I am not knowledgeable about costs for electricians and have no way of knowing if the price was low, high, or in-between.

Very well.  Generator runs once a week for 12 minutes.  Hope they don't need it but even though they live in town health issues suggest they have this backup.  JohnBoy came to give estimate as scheduled then a slight delay because generator supply is limited,  After that everything went smoothly and at a significantly lower cost than other estimates.

He was fast and accurate.  He came to my house, looked at and diagnosed the problem, replaced my front porch light and we talked about church and things of God and he left.

The electricians were running late by about 2 hours. Once they arrived the job went smoothly. They were polite and professional. To our surprise there was a discount on the bill with a note of apology for being so late. Yes, I will use their services again and also recommend them to others.

Install a 20KW whole-house backup generator.  Response to bid request was rapid.  Bid was received next day.  Install took place within days of delivery of the generator from Generic.  Could not be more pleased.

It went very well.  They came at the appointed time and worked until the project was finished.  They cleaned up after themselves.  It was as it should have been.  

Not a major job but John was very fair with his price, right on time, and did a very professional job.  I would highly recommend John-Boy Electric for any work in the future!

I am very happy with the company and have referred them to several others. I would not hesitate to use them again for electrical service. The projects went as planned, they stayed within budget and got it done when they said they would. This is an old house, 1929 and over the years some weird stuff has been done to the circuits. This did cause some problems, but they stuck with it and resolved any issues we had. I am very pleased with the service.
