My move in date was December 17, and there was major remodeling in the condo. The only problem was the Canton township was a little slow on getting the permits that Ted needed to continue work on the project. Once the permits were given he immediately continued work on the condo as my move in date was fast approaching and he finished the majority of the work before the move in. The work he and his employees did was of excellent quality. Any concerns that I had about something that needed to be done were handled promptly and done to my satisfaction. We found him and his crew to be very trustworthy and dependable. If we would need any other work done Ted and his crew would be hired again without hesitation.

The job started on time and was finished early. Ted and his team took an old, dated basement and turned it into a beautiful, light and bright space that my family will enjoy for years to come. Ted's bid was very reasonable and all his work is permitted and inspected, which we appreciated. I felt he was honest and fair. Communication could have been better at times and toward the very end of the project I felt like were a low priority were in the dark as to how things would finish up. That said, in the end we have a beautiful basement that was completed on time and at a reasonable cost and those were our goals.

Great work done by Ted and his crew. We were left in the dark on the timeline or who would be showing up and when from time to time. Project ended up 2 weeks ahead of schedule and all our concerns were addressed and exceeded.

Ted's team was professional, friendly, and had a great attitude (seemed like they really wanted to do a good job). They installed copper piping (replaced the original), LED lights, took pains to ensure that the cabinet and tilework looked good, and spent a lot of time to ensure a good paint finish. Ted insists on a very detailed written contract and strictly adheres to the scope, but is also fair in assessing either unneeded or extra work after the job commences. Overall, would recommend.

Fantastic!! I recently moved into a condo and needed the entire first floor remodeled! Ted and his crew did the demolition work and then rebuilt the kitchen (which is absolutely gorgeous now), re-did the powder room and laid new wood flooring throughout the entire first floor. They also put in new recessed lights, new light fixtures, painted and fixed a number of things around the place. It now looks fantastic!! I can't say enough about these guys. They are so nice and they show up each and every day! When they leave at the end of the day, they clean up. My job took about six weeks, and I actually missed all of them when they were done! Everything is done just beautifully...I get rave reviews and everyone who sees my home immediately asks who I hired to do the work. You won't be disappointed!!! I can't wait to have them come to remodel my master bath next year!!!

Ted and his team did an amazing job. They accommodated every request that we had along the way and completed our nearly 1300 sq ft basement finishing project in just over 12 weeks (which included a 1 week inspection delay). His team was incredibly trustworthy and we were comfortable enough to leave them in our home alone and allow them access to our home while we were on vacation. Their work is top notch and we truly could not have been happier. Our project included a full bath, a custom built wet bar, built-in fireplace, custom wine cabinet, several closets, storage room shelving, re-routing of HVAC and plumbing and a number of other special features. No matter what we threw at Ted and his team they tackled it with ease AND stuck to their original timeline. If I ever need someone for another remodel project, Put A Smile On Your Place Construction is my first choice.

Excellent! We couldn't be happier with the finished product. Ted and his team were a pleasure to work with. They were such a fun group and we really enjoyed having them in our house. They worked very hard, were always on time and did beautiful work. My husband finally got his man cave and we added an entire floor of living space. If something didn't turn out right, Ted and his team worked overtime to make it perfect. This was a huge project but they completed it on time with no issues with the inspections. I would highly recommend Put a Smile on Your Place Construction.

Put a Smile on Your Place construction did high quality, excellent work. Low stress for the homeowner. They respected our home. Honest hardworking group of men who are a team and have a history of professionalism from job to job. Fair pricing on inevitable changes, extras and hidden damage. Finished all work on time per committed schedule. What I thought was most interesting was when my wife and I went to pick out plumbing fixtures, tile, granite, shower glass, and misc. material. Put a Smile on Your Place construction has a very favorable reputation in the industry. I would ask / survey the material suppliers as to what their experience was in dealing with Ted Braboy, the owner. They would smile and their response was always positive. When spending this large amount of money, it is comforting to know that everyone in the supply chain had very good experiences in dealing with Put a Smile on Your Place Construction.

This may be the best work we have ever had done on multiple levels. First, Ted and his crew are so professional in personality and workmanship. I would leave my house and give them complete run at any time and never worry about a thing. They took there time and were meticulous at every step. I was so impressed how each individual specialized in an area. Each phase had different people from carpentry, electrical, sheet rock repair and painting. No one can believe the house didn't come this way. You can look as close as you want and there is zero indication that any work was ever done. We couldn't be happier. Not only do we enjoy the work that was done, but also enjoyed the time with each of them. They have literally changed our home and we feel very lucky to have found them. The sheet rock repair alone was fun to watch because they were so concerned in getting it right. They spent more time mudding and sanding than I could have ever asked for. They would not stop until it was absolutely perfect. We also thought the pricing was very fair. Over the course of the project there were at least 6 people involved including carpentry, electrical, painting, and sheet rock. The entire process took about 4-5 days so they could let the mud dry appropriately between standings. With all that was involved the total was around $1,500. Lastly, the clean up was impeccable.

Great experience.  Ted and his crew were friendly and very pleasant.  He contacted me immediately to set up appointment for estimate.  He scheduled the job a few days after he provided the quote.  The job lasted about 5 days.  He replaced the flooring in the kitchen and bathroom.  He also painted both rooms.  I provided the flooring and paint.  He made suggestions on what material to purchase.  Great experience.  I would use this team again.  I highly recommend this company.

We had our entire basement finished using Put a Smile on Your Place.  This included a bathroom, kitchen/bar, and required plumbing, electrical and HVAC re-routes.  The team was fantastic.  They have a lot of experience and bring you lots of ideas on how to go about maximizing your space, maximizing celing height and symmetry.  They provided us with a very detailed quote of what is included so there are no surprises for either party.  At least twice during the time of the project, we were provided with an updated estimate based on changes we made,(both adds and subtracts) along with and update on material allowances.  We were not required to purchase everything thru the contractor.  Some items we did, and others we bought ourselves and they installed for us.  They handled all of the permits, dealt with all the subs.  As you can imagine a project like this takes about 8-12 weeks depending on availability of materials and scheduling around other jobs.  We were very comfortable with them and the team they have coming in and out of our home.  They were very courteous and arrived around 9 on most days and left around 6.  They typically would inform us of the schedule a week in advance so we could try to plan accordingly.  Being the summer, we also advised them of our schedule and they were able to work on days that we were out of town.  (that is how comfortable we felt with them)  The guys are very approachable and trustworthy.  We wanted someone to do the job right, not cut corners etc and someone we could trust.  If you feel the same, these are your guys.  We would definitley recommend the team at Put a Smile on Your Place.

All went very well.  Ted had remodeled our kitchen several years ago, so we knew that we would receive high quality service.  Ted was able to squeeze our rather small project between some larger ones, which gave them extra incentive to work quickly.  Ted and his staff are very friendly and efficient - a pleasure to work with.
Adding the new doors required a little carpentry work.  The shelving improvements that were made in our closets are a huge improvement.  This upgrade was a huge success - something we should have done long ago.
The job was completed in a little over two weeks.  Also included in the overall upgrade was carpeting, but that was from a separate contractor.
He are very happy and will not hesitate to go to Put a Smile on Your Place Construction for our next major project.

Everything worked out well beyond expectations, esp. the mud room.  The whole team was very friendly, accomodating, and did fantastic work.  Ted was very helpful in making suggestions (this was our first experience with a significant remodeling job so it was greatly appreciated and did a great job organizing the team.  We highly recommend them.

Overall, very happy with Ted & crew.
Jumped right into demolition, clearing out all the old fixtures in the first day. Things began to take shape quickly, framing in the new expanded shower and built in soaker tub.
Electrician Brian was great, identifying an electrical issue that extended to the hardwired smoke alarms. Was also able to incorporate the heated floors on the original jacuzzi tub circuit.
Jason's tile work was simply amazing. He did check with us to see how we liked placement of accent tiles, his decisions making the shower a real centerpiece.
We moved into the house about mid-renovation, which is where we encountered some minor timing issues. Plumber & painter gave a time frame to stop by and would sometimes miss the window by a little. Trying to make dinner or other plans around that was a tad frustrating.
The finished product has earned rave reviews from friends taking a tour of the new house. We would definitely call Ted again for a future project.

I had a tenant renting my townhouse for 6 years, and when she moved out in the spring 2014, I needed to give the entire place a good refresh.  However, the turnaround time needed to be quick - I anticipated 5 days of painting (which would allow me an additional 2 days to clean, make additional repairs & then stage the townhouse).  Fortunately, the ceiling & walls, and all surfaces on the stairwell & in the closets were going to be the same off-white color as before, so no need for expert cutting in.  (I'd expect the cost and turnaround time to be longer if I was drastically changing the color).

Only one painter was assigned for the entire place (I thought there was going to be a team)... however, he was very professional & personable, showed up on time & stayed late each day as needed, and actually finished all work a day early.  At the end, the place looked great and all supplies were cleaned up.  Thank you... would recommend your company to anyone, and hope to use you again in the future.
