 + -1 moreInstall was great. But when i had an issue. It took 2 months for service. Plus they never answered any emails. Still waiting for answer 9 months later.

 + 0 moreBowen was recommended by Generac along with another Generac dealer. Bowen provided excellent service starting with the quote and gas meter upgrades. The gas meter upgrade was necessary Bowen provided the detail I needed to give to Consumers Energy. The upgrade cost me $600 as it was a much larger generator install and required the larger gas meter. Pricing was very competitive, service and work was great. Bowen is in Burton MI and I live in Troy. I am not concerned at all about the distance for service as they are responsive to my needs. Do watch for specials from Generac as a few times per year they may offer a 10 year warranty and on occasion, a free Generac Power Washer. Note: This is a Generac sponsored promotion but Bowen fully supported the promotion.

 + -1 moreDid not purchase from this provider. Was given this provider's name when I contacted Generac to get a quote on a generator. They contacted me and came down very quickly. They are very far away from my location (Flint to Ann Arbor) and did not appear accustomed to dealing with my energy provider. The salesman did not provide much in the way of information regarding whether i needed a larger gas meter (I do). Pricing was aggressive compared to other quotes I received (900 dollars less). 1 other issue was I was concerned about was the distance and that impact on service should it be needed in the future. If I had lived closer to these guys, I probably would have gone with them. Hopefully they would have been more helpful with the gas meter upgrades needed in their vicinity.

Description of Work: Bowen installed a Generac generator for our home. Joe's father Dick Bowen came out to meet with us to determine our needs and provide a proposal. Dick was very personable and knowledgeable and helped us determine exactly the size we needed. We selected a generator that was slightly smaller than one that could power our whole house in order to save some money, and there was never any pressure to upsell us to the larger generator. | |The crew who came out to install our generator was great! They were very professional and pleasant to work with. They kept me apprised throughout the day on their progress and made sure that they always wore shoe covers when coming into the house. They were able to complete the install in one day (on a very bitterly cold day, I might add), and when they were done everything was cleaned up and looked great. I would definitely recommend Bowen Electric, and I would use them again myself.
