TOM'S LANDSCAPE NURSERY

Scott Sexton, the owner came to my friend's home on May 31, 2011 to provide her with an estimate for a patio drainage problem . He asked for a deposit and said he would be performing the service before she left town in a week. She gave him a $300. deposit in good faith. He cashed her check on June1, 2011. When she would contact them to determine the time that they would be arriving to perform the work, they would repeatedly make excuses why they could not get to her house yet to do the work estimated. No work was ever performed and no explanation was ever given. On June 24, 2011 she sent Scott Sexton a certified return receipt letter to request a refund of her deposit but received no answer or contact concerning the matter. Visits to the two places of business ( also Tom's Development Co. on Long Lake--no office accessible here!) in Troy proved unproductive until finally she received a call that she could pick up a check for the $300. on July 14, 2011. Scott Sexton was there and gave her a check for $300. which she immediately deposited in her bank account. On July 19, 2011 she learned from her bank that the check had been returned and she had been charged the additional $12.00 fee! I am very glad to report that the afternoon of July 19, 2011, the office personnel of Tom's Landscape Nursery called my friend and asked her to come to the office to pick up a cashier's check for her refund. She did so and the matter is finally concluded. Thank you Mr. Sexton.
