Contact said sand to paint ready, however it?s far from ready the first they said they were finishing. Nearly no corner was good enough to paint. After complaints, they came back and resand but still not paint ready yet. Their reason was there?s no light, they couldn?t see it. Interesting, I need to redo the corner with compound and sand it again by myself .

Overall we had an excellent experience with Mastertech Construction. The team worked with us throughout the project, had great communication, and we ended up with well done drywall. We did need them to come back out and fix a few spots, but again communication was great and they fixed without issue.

I was so pleased to work with this company. They were very patient, as we had to postpone the job a few months after they originally quoted us. They kept us in the loop with the progress of the job and were very professional. The end result was beautiful!! Thank you again for everything!!

They did a very good job on the main room but the bathroom and hallway going upstairs weâ re not done very well. They got me in when they said they would and they showed up to work when they were supposed to and had the project done Right on time. Drywall tape and mud new basement construction.

We asked them to remove a garage ceiling that had partially fallen , reinstall insulation and cover with drywall. Also requested they replace a ladder for access to a storage area above the garage. They did the work including the taping , mudding and sanding so that the work was fully prepped for priming. The did all the work and removed all the trash in a very timely manner. All the workers were very polite and and did their work in a very professional manner and performed the work as they had quoted in the original estimate which they had given in a very timely manner.

We hired this company to turn our upstairs 23 foot long single bathroom into a two separate bathrooms, so we could have our own master suite. After the initial walk through, they got back to us very quickly with the scope and total price for the job. Their price was more than fair. The main thing we asked was to complete one bathroom at a time so we could still stay in the master bedroom while the construction was going on. They were more than happy to oblige us at our every need. The family of RICKS were very knowledgeable, answered our questions and made suggestions on the design and scope of work throughout the project. There were a few bumps in the road here and there, but they were always very communicative with us and let us know where they were at every time we asked. Main Contractor Rick kept us informed and made several suggestions on design that he believed would better the job. Father Rick was great especially with his drywall expertise and mudding of our walls, and Son-in-law Rick I can not say enough about. He handled our plumbing and re-routing of all the electrical wiring and was all around a great contractor to have on the job. I have to also give kudos to the painters Rick hired to come in and paint the hallway bath. Unbelievable job they did. Overall, we could not be happier with the completed project and we absolutely love our master suite with two shower heads and our own private toilet and double vanities in both bathrooms. Another point that needs to be addressed, was the siding on the house. Because they had to take out windows and this project was started and completed in the winter months, the outside vinyl siding outside could not be completed until after the weather broke. Rick gave me his word that they would come back to finish the job and it would be safe to get on ladders 25-30 feet in the air. They boarded up the windows extremely well, and we had no drafts, leaks or problems throughout with winter with temporary solution. I contacted Rick the first week of June and the first nice day we had, his crew showed up and completed siding which completed the job. I wish this site would allow me to post pictures because I would love to show everyone the before and after photos to show everyone the great job they did.

They came out the same day to give me a free quote! Very knowledgeable and answered any questions I had. The quality of work was excellent and I am a very picky person. I even hired them to prime and paint for me and I was not disappointed. After sanding, we did a walk through together for any touch-ups, and they made sure to address any concerns I had. They painted and it looks like a million bucks. I would highly recommend them and will be hiring them again for more projects in the future!

If I could give him zero stars I would. He knew I was in a bind and took complete advantage of a single woman. Let me start with saying I paid him in cash. I will never do that again, he ruined that for all honest contractors He over charged me for the quality work I received. He came back once because the work wasn t finished to my satisfaction and then claimed it was complete. After that I didn t want him in my house again, the job wasn t even close to being done. My friends and I then spent three hours each sanding down my ceilings he claimed were finished. I took photos of his completed work, not even close. His response was just paint over it and I will come back and fix what s not done correctly. Seriously, just fix it right the first time and be done. If I would have done that, I would have wasted my time and my money on the paint I bought. What terrifies me is he claims that he only wants to do drywall now and not full construction. I am so frustrated and furious with this man I wasn t even going to write a complaint. I am very disappointed in this man and his workmanship. I would never give him a recommendation. So disappointed in this man.

Rick and Rick (Dad & Son) We needed dry wall repair and they came out right away and did a great job. Had a water leak and asked if they could put in a new bathroom floor and they did a great job. Prompt and flexible service.

The Mastertech guys did a fine job drywalling our new half bath. They were pleasant, polite and professional.

To be fair, I did not bring my concerns to Rick, nor will I, so he hasn't had a chance to fix what's wrong. Normally, I would never leave a poor review without giving one a chance to fix the problem, but I suspect that if he cared to fix the problem, he would've done that from the start. It's really unlikely that someone in the profession this long doesn't notice what's wrong. Pros: Nice guy, decent price. Con: Looks terrible. I hired him to flatten my textured kitchen ceiling. He said he'd need to scrape some texture and lay 5/8" drywall over. He sent his son and another person out to hang. They never scraped. My ceiling is visibly wavy, there are large chunks over my kitchen cabinets, and I can see every single seam, all the way along my kitchen, and I do mean every single seam. I was so frustrated that I made a conscious decision to just be done with it, but five months later it's still is driving me nuts. It looks worse than when we started. Based on a convo overheard, I suspect Rick Sr. knew that it wasn't scraped and proceeded with the job anyway. He gave me a fair price, but if it's not done correctly and I'm going to have to hire someone to take it down and start over, I haven't saved a dime.

Despite reading a few negative reviews, I decided to give these guys a call since they were close to my location and I was in need of some drywall repair quick. After installing new recessed lighting, I had over 20 holes cut in a lightly textured ceiling and the job was just too big to handle myself with numerous other projects going on at the same time. They were the first to give me a call (within just 15 minutes!) and we setup an estimate the following day. Rick Sr. came out and seemed very knowledgeable about getting the job done. He said it wouldn't be a problem to repair the holes and match up the texture, although he did say he couldn't promise it would match "exactly". I appreciated his honesty, and he assured me they would do everything they could to make it look great. Feeling comfortable with his knowledge and expertise, I also asked them to skim coat a hallway and prep it for paint. I mentioned the negative reviews I read, and he explained that it's difficult to make everyone happy and that some people are just impossible to please... which I completely understood. Since they provided a great price and I felt like they could handle the job, I decided to give them a shot. Rick Sr. came out with his son Rick Jr. and they started just a few days later. Both were super friendly, easy to work with and seemed like great guys. They worked together well and each tackled different tasks to get the job done quickly. After two thin coats of mud, Rick Sr. experimented with a cut piece of drywall to get the texture right. He said the product they originally used on the ceiling wasn't available anymore, so he created his own concoction with some mud and sand and it ended up working out great! Considering a previous drywall repair guy did such a horrible job matching things up, it was obvious that Rick Sr. knew what he talking about. Overall, the ceiling turned out great considering there were so many holes and it had to be matched up with an existing texture. It didn't turn out "perfect", but it's pretty dang close and Rick Sr. was completely honest and provided me with realistic expectations about the repairs. To be honest, it turned out better than I expected and I'm very pleased with their work. It just goes to show, you can't believe everything you read online. People are quick to complain about something when they're not happy, but I bet that 90% of Mastertech's satisfied customers never took the time to share their experience. Well... here you go!
