Salesman was *super* professional, and the company initially seemed much better organized than any of the many other companies I talked to. However, there were a number of stressful miscommunications leading up to the install. Just one example: I said many times that our house, being 100 years old, presumably had lead paint. A few days before the install I talked to the general manager John about this, and he suddenly said that lead paint professionals would have to be hired at an extra cost. This was in direct contradiction to what his employees told me previously. However, the general manager (John) and me agreed to split the cost, and I was reasonably happy with this solution. Now, less than a year later, the AC has broken twice, each time resulting in water coming out of the units indoor. Additionally, because of the way one of the condensate lines was installed, part of our outdoor wood siding is constantly wet, leading to rot. John has always been very accommodating in terms of fixing issues, and the installers were super nice, and so I've held off on writing any negative reviews. But now that the AC is broken for the second time in the first year, I've had enough. My advice: Steer clear of Lakeside! Mini split systems are great, but find a company who will do a better job communicating with you pre-install, and do a better job of installing the system. Even if it means going with a company whose sales staff are not as convincing.

Both inspectors [Mechanical & Electrical] came out early today. Both very pleasant. The Electrical Inspector said he'd never heard of your company! Well, I gave him my best smile while I delivered a stellar review!! He said the customers that had Thornton & Grooms all felt they were way overpriced! (our reason for not using them) His most frequent customers had Randazzo's do the work! He didn't say this, but I'm assuming (I know not good to assume) that it is their ads on TV/radio that have initially brought in customers. Very catchy with a sing-a-long Tune! Perhaps you might consider a TV or radio ad? Although I'm pretty sure your customers would rather save money than sing-a-long with an ad! Thank you very much. Although everything (furnace installation) is still new.... it's all working nicely. I had to do some adjustments on the humidifier. For our house (condo, with old aluminum windows) I had to turn it way down. In fact the Mechanical Inspector questioned why I had it so low, and was I experiencing dry air (static, dry skin, etc) ? Answered - 'No' It's fine now after I finally found the right setting for our condo!’ My daughter recommended you very highly, and she was correct! Everything went well with the installation even though those technicians had to replace some very old equipment, as ours was original equipment from the time this place was built... back in the early 70's!! They worked diligently and some very long hours, but they got the job done in one day’s time!! Finally, we had some heat and could stay in our house! (temps at that time dipping down to low single digits with wind chills below zero!!) We had been staying at Hilton Garden Suites - which was perhaps a mile away! I hope I haven't been too wordy (a problem with me -- once my fingers get going they don't seem to know when to stop) And again, Thank You so much. Oops almost forgot - I'd like to recognize Mr. Tom Salisbury, Sr. He made the whole thing come together without a hitch, making it easy on my husband and I as he worked with my daughter (she initially contacted Lakeside because of their work at her house for a furnace and water heater) and got the job done! It was a pleasure to speak with him. With that I'll say thank you once again and it has been my distinct honor to do business with a company that KNOWS how to treat it's customers. Sincerely,

John S.

Original estimate was $500. I was told that the install on one of the fans was iffy because of the way the fan was mounted and because other equipment may interfere with the installation. Final bill came to $750 because they essentially had to dismount and remount the existing fan. This was a 50% increase of the original estimate. I would have liked a more accurate estimate in order to be able to make a better decision as to who to hire for the work.

We had a new furnace and AC install completed today. Don and Kanaan did a fantastic job with the install and then explaining to us how things worked after. They were very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Lakeside made this experience as pain free as possible. Will recommend to others who need service and/or a new install. And thank you John Boylan for taking care of us!

They did a good job. The only problem I didn't like about them was the initial estimate they gave me was not accurate. It was about $500 for installing two vents for my bathrooms upstairs. When they got up there and started doing the work they raised the price to $750 which I didn't appreciate. That was my only problem but they were prompt, arrived on-time, worked hard, and didn't leave a mess. Everything else was fine, I was satisfied with their work.

The process was very smooth. A salesman came out promptly, and once I decided to use Lakeside the installers came out very quickly as well. I inadvertently ordered the wrong size (40 gallon instead of 50) and the installer quickly noticed and had a 50 gallon water heater brought to my home and placed instead. Punctual, professional, and friendly. I can't speak to price as I didn't shop around (like I should have).

The repairman was extremely rude. He took several personal calls while he was there, complaining to the person/s on the calls that he was not scheduled to work. He was at the home for over an hour and on his cell phone for at least 1/2 hour. I tried to ask questions about what the possible issues were with the hot water heater and whether it should be replaced, but he was very short with me. Eventually he advised me that the issue was simply that the hot water heater parts and the surrounding closet area were dusty and needed cleaning. I really hesitated to write this review, but I would not recommend this company and this particular "serviceman" to anyone.

It went excellent. He cleaned and tested the furnace and also the humidifier, replacing its filter pad. We also discussed a problem we were having with our basement being cold in the winter, and he gave us an excellent suggestion to look for baseboard heating units. We also purchased a yearly maintenance program which will make it easy to schedule it done every year and gives us priority service if there is ever a problem with our furnace, and it was very reasonable.

I have a contract with them yearly. I don't remember what the cost was, I pay them yearly. I believe there might have been two people that came out. The workers were nice. They left the area clean.

We love them.  We got a new furnace like a year and a half ago and it has had the same ongoing problem.  I tell ya one thing, they're really good about getting right out and coming out.  One time they came out at 11:00 at night.  So they take really good care of ya.  We highly recommend them.  Yes, we will use them in the future and when it's time to get new air conditioning, we will use them.  They installed our furnace a year and a half ago.  They were good.  I give A all around for them.

We ended up having three visits: initial inspection due to a safety concern, cleaning, part replacement for an item found needing replacement during the cleaning. Each of the service providers were excellent. They asked questions and gave detailed explanations on what they found, recommended and what we should expect from a well running furnace. Turns out a previous owner or technician had made some "odd" changes at some point before we bought the house; Lakeside took the time to sort it out and return the furnace back to the original specifications giving us peace of mind in the quality and care they take with their customers. Based on our experience we decided to sign up for their maintenance plan and will now have our furnace and air conditioner inspected/cleaned by them annually.

They did a really good job. They said they could not get into my place for another day and then, they were out there in a matter of a few hours. Everything went very well. It took them less than two hours to complete the work. The workers were great. They did everything well. What they did exceptionally well is that they found a way to schedule me in quickly.
