Somerset Painting & Professional Improvements

Took awhile to get scheduled, but the weather this spring was wet. Once started, their crew worked hard and were very considerate. Very professional and good painters. They made very good suggestions. Some minor rework issues, but they rectified them when pointed out. On the expensive side, but worth it if you are looking for a high quality workmanship.

I was very pleased with the results. The guys paid attention to detail and did a phenomenal job at replacing the wood in making sure all the gaps were chaulk appropriately. They also did a great job at painting. They worked into the night to get the job done. I would highly recommend Somerset and use them again.

Great. The painting crew were meticulous in what they did. We love the outcome; as well, the neighbors love it too. They took care of any and all issues which arose, promptly and fully. They cleaned up before leaving each day. We would hire this crew again!!

Rick and his team are THE BEST in the business. I've hired Somerset twice and each time has exceeded my expectations. Rick cares about his customers and works hard to meet their needs whether it's timing, budget - or in my case, both! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Somerset for anyone needing interior or exterior paint. They are fast, friendly and the quality is unbeatable.

We are very pleased with the end result. Rick worked with us in the beginning to chose our materials and made some very good suggestions in terms of what would work with the style and age of our house. Both the siding half of the project and the painting half of the project were done with meticulous care and precision. The siding is beautiful, and was expertly installed. The painting crew was careful and went out of their way to do everything we asked. Rick and crew worked with us to meet a time deadline that we had, and as with all outdoor construction projects there were delays due to weather. But they met our deadline and we are very pleased with the final look of the house.

I just want to say how fun it was working with Rick, Naomi and Courtney. Everyone was awesome! Our house looks so nice. A neighbor comment on how nice our house looks and that he never noticed the crew. The crew of James Matthews and James, were the right choice for our project and were so professional and attentive to my requests. They already knew what I wanted and worked great together. All our requests were happily fulfilled. All plants were covered and the yard was cleaned up every night when we came home. The detailed contract was well written. We also appreciated the review of paint colors on a picture of our house before we chose a color. This is an additional feature at Somerset that you don't find at a lot of painting companies. It really helps to see how the paint goes with the roof and brick work on your house. It's the only way to choose a house color! Thank you Naomi and Courtney for your hard work in this area. The people were good, but they’re still having to come back. I would say the quality was questionable. I think they ruined my air conditioner too, but I’m going to talk to them about that. Overall Rating of “C” - I hate to do this, but I liked the people. They’re coming back out, they’ve been responsive. It’s just that it’s been a real process, I would say. I would not recommend them.

Overall they did a good job, which is what you should expect at this price point. They were prompt and responsive to my concerns, and worked quickly in a well-coordinated way. There were communication problems, mainly with the sales staff in the course of clarifying expectations re: what was included in the price; but these were ultimately resolved to my satisfaction.

IT WAS EXCELLANT! The owner Rick Hartsell, contacted me everyday to make sure I was happy while the work was being done, made sure to answer any questions I might have as well. They were timely, neat and cleaned up daily. Shaun and his crew were polite, and well knowledgeable as well. They made sure that my mother understood exactly what was being done since she was at the home.

Luis was our job supervisor and he was a very nice and helpful. The finished product looks great and we've received many compliments on how improved our home is!

Bill arrived early and completed the repair quickly and professionally. VERY pleased with the work (and the neighbors were impressed too!).

It went well except we chose a color that turned out to be outlandish:(. We called the company after the main color was 3/4 finished. They told us about a design consultant that was available so we arranged to meet with Courtney. She came out and helped us choose the best design for us. It was wonderful. We are very pleased with the results. We have had many compliments from neighbors. One person even said he thought it upgraded the neighborhood. The only regret is that we did not consult with the design consultant, Courtney, in the beginning. The painting team lead by James was friendly and professional. He even returned when all was finished to fix a few problems that we spotted after all was done. The gentleman who came to hang the shutters, Kenny did a great job. They look better than the original shutters. We are extremely happy with our new look!

Excellent-our experience with Somerset Painting was great. The estimate was thorough, the design consultant for color was extremely helpful, the painters did a beautiful job on the exterior of our home and were punctual and professional. In addition, we had all new gutters added. The installation team did a super job and we are very pleased with the quality of the new gutters and leaf guards. Somerset Painting did an excellent job on my home in terms of quality. They were also very responsive. The work looked great. A minor misunderstanding about the estimate was resolved and handled to my satisfaction.

My experience with Somerset Painting – specifically Brad, Courtney (of Designs by Courtney) and our lead painter Stephanie was about as perfect as you can get. Brad came out promptly after my initial call and provided a detailed description of what the painting crews expectations were, down to what nozzle to use on the paint sprayer. Courtney was an expert at design and color choice. My wife and I spent a lot, and I mean a lot of time determining colors for the brick, trim, gutters etc. it was ultimately Courtney’s suggestions and ability to provide a digital idea of what the house would look like that allowed for us to finally decide all those details. I can’t say enough about Stephanie. What a pro! I mean everyone for this company is and Stephanie provided the WOW experience. We had spent a year fixing up this house with large dollar projects and were feeling discouraged until this paint job. It really brought it all together and made all the other expenses worth it. The painters were meticulous in their work and treated my home as if it was their own. All the employees were prompt for appointments, easy to work with, provided clear and prompt communication, and very knowledgeable. They made the experience fun! While I could have saved a few thousand painting the house myself, by the time I calculate in time needed off work, no money would have been saved. Plus it wouldn’t have looked nearly as good as the spray painting finish. The house is transformed and people who see the house now after seeing it before are impressed!

Contractors arrived on time, were very courteous and were professional. A few items needed to be addressed post job and Somerset handled those issues with ease and care.

Very well. Austin and George are expert craftsmen and did a meticulous job. They were neat and very polite. Hard workers. Sommerset scheduled our job to beginning of July, but surprisingly they rescheduled us to this week. We are very happy and would hire them again.

Have had Somerset paint our house in the past (nine years ago) and sought their services again due to the quality of their work and professionalism. Thoroughly satisfied with their work and the professionalism of the crew lead by Christopher Taylor and company owner Rick Hartsell. I would definitely hire them once again.
