My family started using this cleaners in 1962. On November 23rd I dropped off my wife's Vintage Burberry Coat for cleaning. It was given to my wife, by my mother before she died in September. The coat clearly states Dry Clean Only, Wash Cold, Cold Iron. Well, the employee put it in the wash, after I called for it to be dry cleaned, then he or she assumed that the coat could go in the dryer since it could go in the washer. That was a big mistake. There is a liner in the coat that melted because of the dryer. Long story short, there is a lot of "blame" going on, suggestions that Burberry mislabeled the coat, it's not our fault. To replace the coat would cost $695.00, they have sent me a check for $140.00. Claiming that some Institute of Fashion says any garments older than 10 years old only reimburse for 20%. The manager at Burberry in Troy has been fantastic. She is helping us with several possible avenues. I wrote a letter to George Mitchell himself, describing our loyalty to him and his business over the last 50 years. We received a letter in return, stating the manufacturer was at fault for mislabeling the garment, no apologies were made, nor any responsibility taken.
