We had a situation where we had a child with earlier on behavior issues. He had been permanently dismissed from two child care programs in the past before attending BP @ FH. We kept him home for a year with a caregiver, then put him at BP @ FH for one year in their Playschool program for 4 year olds. We had a tremendous experience there! Because the school is a part of the Bloomfield Hills School District, they have more than enough resources there. In addition, all of the teachers have more extensive educations than what you would see in other private pre-school settings. They were aware of the challenges that we had with our son in the past, and always factored those into their daily schedule. It was truly a great experience for us. Now our children are past the age to attend BT @ FH, however, I would recommend in a heartbeat.

Two of my three children are going to the program at Bloomin' Tots. We've been going there since 2006 when my first child started there. He is now in Elementary. Their costs are very reasonable. They have an infant program so they start at 2 months old and cover all ages up to Elementary. They have various programs: for example, as their age level gets up there, they start doing more instructional things. They cover the basics before you get in to Elementary. They did a Unit recently on balls and the different kinds of balls - and the science behind balls. They were shown different sizes, different shapes, balls on tracks and so on. They do a pajama party night every year, they do Thanksgiving. They have all sorts of community related activities. there. The place is incredible because it was formerly an Elementary School, so they have a gym, on top of the gym they have an indoor playground. They have a big track they bike around. I remember walking in there and going Wow! You guys get to do this stuff every day? They are physically active, intellectually challenged, and well taken care of. It is a reputable school system, and we are very fortunate to have found them. If the parents are there they discipline their own kids. What they try to do is distract the behavior or address the behavior. For example, two kids are fighting over a ball, and one person had the ball first. So they will explain, this person had it first, and then they give the other one another ball. They don't overly discipline them to the point where parents would become uncomfortable, but they address they behavior without spending too much time on it. You can do school lunch in the school system, you can bring your own lunch, you can do both. My kids love it. All their friends have gone through there. There is so much physical activity. They have to have one employee per three infants and four or five children when they are older. If there is an accident, say a cut, they put a band-aid on it but it is noted on the information sheet. They have outdoor playground around them, they have the indoor playground and the gym and most places don't have anything like that. There is one room for infants and then the other rooms they have 12 children or at the most 15. I know people whose children sit in a room of thirty kids all day. So the class size is much lower than you find in other places. There is a good level of security, too. To get in to the toddler room you have to punch in a code. They work with the children and parents for potty training, which can be a really frustrating process. One of our children was challenging to potty train which gave us great appreciation for what they do there. It is awesome. They even have a PTA for there. They give you 10% off for every child after the first one. The facility itself is amazing, and the people that work there form genuine positive relationships with your kids. You can't fake that. They really enjoy working with them, giving them feedback without even asking for it, letting you know whether it was a good day or the child was cranky. So you know what you are getting when you pick them up. You can take children in there as early as 7 am, and the kids can stay until 6 pm. They don't have a weekend program. There is a bathroom for every classroom and a drinking fountain outside each of them. They have animals like rabbits and lizards in the indoor play area so the children can pet them and feed them. Over the vacation when there's nobody in school they offer the pets to the children for the week or the holiday, and they supply the food. They are very conscientious about cleanliness.
