Kevin from Birmingham Plumbing Co. was able to come out the same day. I appreciated the punctuality. The repair looked simple and the only parts required were a flexible gas line and a shut off valve. I thought these parts must be expensive since the bill came to over $400! and only took 15 minutes or so to complete. I later found out I was way overcharged for a relatively simple service. The parts are about $40 so the labor was $360 for something that took less then an hour.
I blame the stress of moving combined with my naiveté on not doing more research first. Knowing what I know now I'd never use them again and I like to warn others to do the same.
