The insulation was added as expected.
The breather tubes were supposedly installed (I couldn't see to verify).
Later, when I tore out the soffit to have new panels installed that would greatly augment the air exchange, I found
that the house's original soffit was plywood that had only two square foot openings on each side of the
house. I realized that it was no wonder that I had an ice problem in winter. After removing the soffit I was able to
observe the placement of the plastic breather tubes that White Insulating worker had installed. they were so poorly
placed that only three on the entire house would have allowed unfettered air exchange. The rest were found to be
closed with insulation batting was used to hold them in place. I don't know if this was so unprofessionally and
haphazardly done to save time and effort because they saw that the soffit would not allow them to work efficiently
anyway, or it was an example of their work.
As indicated before, the peak vent and insulation were done apparently well. I was very disappointed with the
placement of the air exchange tubes as such constriction would totally negate any chance of positive effects,
and a lot of money would have been wasted.
When I later called to lodge the complaint, I left my name and number. I received no reply.
