+ -1 moreI had a little bit of trouble contacting Flagel insulation initially, but once I made contact things went very smooth. I was given a free in-home estimate to complete the job. The quoting process seemed to be very thorough in order to give a good estimate. Joe was very knowledgeable and even went above and beyond by looking around the rest of the house for things to improve. On the day of the job, the guys showed up between 8-9 as planned and were done with the job by 11am. They did a great job cleaning up the stray insulation as well. I poked my head up and they did a very good job keeping the material even throughout the attic. All in all an excellent service. Professional and prompt, but as I mentioned initial communication could use some work.
Description of Work: Attic insulation. The insulation was removed from my attic during asbestos abatement. I wanted to get R-49 equivalent in order to take advantage of rebates available. The attic was approximately 1364 ft2

Description of Work: Installed approx. 1600 cubic feet of cellulose insulation in attic. Professional and knowledgeable crew. We were able to survive our first Michigan winter. We highly recommend FLAGEL INSULATION.

Description of Work: First it took 4 weeks & 3 phone calls just to set up the appointment. Second they hadn't read my comments or communicated from the contact person my particular style of home (old, flat roof, one layer of siding, no attic access, no side wall insulation) so it turned out to be a waste of his and my time and money. The contractor only spent 10 minutes with me, suggested I do other repairs first such as a new furnace, new siding and then re-roof at which time they would insulate my home. Sad waste if time, and money for both of us. A more through phone interview might have saved us both the time and money. Very disappointed. |

+ -1 moreThey gave me a pretty expensive estimate. Apparently they had some promo deal going for $40. All they did was give an estimate. I thought I was going to actually get some type of energy consult or evaluation. I got a second opinion today. They came out and said that it was really looking pretty good up there and that I was not really going to gain anything by putting any more insulation up there. I don't want to knock the guy. He was a nice guy. He gave a very detailed estimate, but I probably wouldn't use them. They were professional. They came out and the guy did his thing, but I don't feel I really got much in the way of value.
Description of Work: Literally, all he did was go up in the attic and tell me that I needed more insulation up there. They sent me an estimate.

+ -1 moreThe work was very professional. They found several things which were done wrong by previous insulation installers, and corrected the mistakes. The two workers were friendly and easy to talk to. I would not hesitate to use this company again.
Description of Work: Installed bathroom vent, baffles/durovents in attic/ceiling spaces, added 8" of cellulose insulation in attic.

Description of Work: on time, well prepared. Thorough inspection day of installation identified that original(?) blown-in insulation had covered all the soffit vents. Opened up all vents. 2014-15 was 1st winter that I didn't have huge roof icicles. No change to original $$ estimate. Excellent experience w/ Flagel Insulation.

+ -1 moreThe service was wonderful. It was very good. There were four workers and they were right on-time. They said they would be here at eight o’clock and they pulled up at eight o’ clock. They were very thorough and conscientious. They cleaned up after themselves and they did a good job. They were the best price.
Description of Work: For insulation, I used Flagel Insulation. They insulated the house, the walls in the attic.
