When I bought my house in 1999, the furnace didn't work so the previous owner replaced it as a condition of purchase. As it turns out, they put in the worst possible unit. My first winter here, the new unit didn't work so a contractor had to come out and fix it. The second year, it didn't work either and none of the contractors I called were calling me back so I didn't have any heat for two days. When I found Jacob, he came out the same day and restored my heat. I called him every winter after that when the furnace wouldn't light (sometimes twice a winter) until he put in a new furnace in 2002. He added a humidifier to my unit sometime after that. He also helped me out after I had my air ducts cleaned. The guy who cleaned the ducts said he had never seen so much foreign matter come out of the ducts in his life and that they had probably not been cleaned before. After all the "junk" was sucked out, there were leaks all along the duct work in the unfinished basement and none of the air was reaching the upstairs rooms in the house. (The "junk" had been plugging small holes that had formed over the fifty years since the house was built.) I called Jacob and he had someone come over and patch every hole until the heat circulated properly again. Jacob and his employees have always been responsive, courteous and professional. Jacob has also done work for father and my brother and they both think he's great! None of us have any complaints and would highly recommend him to anyone who needs HVAC help.

Posted request on a web site. Jacob called within an hour and asked some clarifying questions and scheduled appointment for following day. Initial impression was good. Arrived on time. Refused to provide an estimate because it was not equipment he supplied. Refused to install pad and electric service because he was unfamiliar with the product. He stated that he was not "starving enough to take this job." It was obvious that he did not want the job, so why not just say so up front and not schedule an appointment and waste a potential customer's time? Everything to be quoted was posted on the form.
