The heater control on my Toyota Tundra was not functioning properly, and I wanted a lube job. In the process of these repairs, they discovered a leaking rear axle seal. They had the vehicle for 3 days (they ordered a part for the heater from Toyota). The axle seals were replaced, and when I picked up the truck, I was told that I needed another $500 part for the heater to work properly. So I left it as is. The heater control was not functional when I left, and was always on and I didn't want to pay another $500 at that time. As time progressed, the brakes felt like they weren't grabbing enough as I had to use more brake pressure than I thought I should, so I took the truck to the dealer. They repaired the heater for $107, and had to give the rear brakes a brake job because the shoes were covered with the grease that was left on the shoes and drum when Martin and Son replaced the rear axle seals.
Originally, Martin senior ran this business, and I have used them for around 30 years. Now that he has retired, I will stick with the Toyota dealer.
