EMH Improvements

Perfect - came out the same day (was suppose to rain that night and it did). Very friendly and helpful. Third time I have used EMH. Do not hesitate to use.

Perfect - vast improvement over the improperly installed and poor quality vent from the builder 22 years ago.

They made it simple, affordable, easy and the workmanship was A-1. I now plan on using them for some other home improvement projects as I am just starting a two year gradual upgrade of my house. Very happy. Even sent me a picture of the completed work since I was working that day.

Issues resolved and additional fans installed as planned. Spent as much time as required to get it right and everything working.

Eli did a wonderful job on my deck and ceilings. However, he is very busy and if he needs to come back to finish a part of a project that you already paid for he might take a long time to get to it.

Eli was very professional, He did a great job and we will have him back soon for more work..

My experience with Eli was great all around. He got right back to me after I initially contacted him, and we scheduled a time that worked for both of us a couple days later for him to come out, take a look at the problem, and give me an estimate (which he did on the spot). I thought his approach to pricing was clear and fair, and we set a time for him to come out and start the work. He arrived on the agreed day/time, had everything he needed to complete the job. Because he was repairing tile and drywall, I expected him to need to make multiple trips/visits, but he figured out a way to get the whole job done in a single day (albeit a long one), which I am sure required special planning/preparation. Eli was professional and pleasant to interact with, and the final product was perfect - I couldn't have asked for more. Will definitely work with him again, and recommend to others.

Eli from EMH improvements did an excellent job. He was very prompt and professional, and his price was very reasonable compared to other handymen in the area. We were able to schedule the installation the next day, and he was very good about communicating the time he would be doing the service, so we could do other tasks that day. We would definitely hire again for other handymen projects.

100% satisfied with everything. Would definitely hire again (will be calling when we are ready to re-do bathroom). Good with cleaning up after the work day and taking away construction debris. Responsive to texts/calls, keep us updated on his schedule.

It went well.

He was real good. I bought the garbage disposal and he installed it. It was going to be a flat rate of $75 but I had another problem with my faucet. I had the parts again but as opposed to me doing it, he said I will just charge you $25. So, the cost was an even $100. The work was good. I would hire him.

We chose EMH Improvements over two other companies which bid for our job. We liked Eli's direct no-nonsense style, his prior reviews were excellent, and his bid was substantially below his competitors' (especially for the basement.) Because they were in demand, they were not able to begin work right away, but they kept us updated as our proposed start date drew closer. When they got started, they were able to make rapid progress, and while we were not able to get the work finished on the original timeline, this was because we continually added to the project, so EMH was not to blame for this. Overall, we're very happy with the quality of the work that was done, the interactions we had with Eli and with John, and with Eli's willingness to come back out and fix anything that wasn't quite right. We will definitely contact EMH Improvements for all of our future projects.

First time it was to remove our old countertop. I called a few places and was quoted 900-1300. The I called Eli and he gave me a quote of 350. He completed it on time and we got our new countertops installed. He also helps us with a few other problems. One time it was a leaking tube on the furnace; the other time it was a broken weather stripping. He is always trying to accommodate your time and needs and I really appreciated that. I highly recommend him and will for sure use him in the future.

He does it right. Like most good service providers, he's busy, so you need to "get in line."

Can't say enough good things about Eli. I have had him over at least 4 times to do several large projects on our home, from finished carpentry to painting to repair work and even some plumbing. First of all, he is a such a professional, both in manner and in his work. He responds promptly to calls, arrives (mostly) on time (and if he can't he calls to tell me exactly when he'll be here). He is a family man himself and I feel very comfortable having him work for hours in my home, even if I'm not there (something I don't say lightly as I am not the most trusting sort). He does really great work, he gets it done when he says he will and he always cleans up after he's done. He is always my very first call when I need something to be done. He is often very busy, so sometimes we have to schedule projects out for a few weeks or months but that just means he is in high demand, as he should be. He is also very reasonably priced. So glad we found him!!

In the rainy fall that we had this year we started to get water coming into our house. It took us a while to ID the point of the leak but it was the soil stack (the vent from the plumbing system out through the roof). We called a roofer who came and confirmed the problem, but they said a handyman would be 1/4-1/3 the price and they were right. Then we joined Angie's list to find a handyman. Eli had good reviews and was willing to do roof work. Our first appointment time turned out to coincide with the first big snow of the fall so Eli called and we rescheduled for the next week to avoid snowy roof adventures. He came, he took care of it. No mess. No issues. (My husband was home that day so I don't have more specific details.) But after the repair we asked for quotes on a couple of interior repairs we've been putting off. We hope to have him back again soon.

It went well. He was prompt and polite, and his estimate was spot on.

Its rare that I get to say this about a contractor - but they were awesome. Truly. They called when they said they would call, showed up when they said they would show up, completed work in a timely manner, and did an outstanding job.  They also cleaned up extremely well at the end of the  day - you'd hardly know anyone was there. They were always friendly and answered any questions that we had. I honestly can't think of one negative thing to say. I would have no hesitations recommending them, and we look forward to our next project that we can utilized their skill and professionalism. We love our new bathroom!

At my request, Eli first tried to fix the old light, and thought he had, as it worked when he tested it. However, that night, it still didn't work. So, I bought a new fixture and he came back in a few days and installed it (at no extra charge!) The new light works great!
I'm very pleased with Eli's work. He can get busy, and it may take a while to break into his schedule, but I lucked out this time and he was able to come out in just a couple of days. For bigger projects, plan ahead--he's good, fair and an all-around nice guy (so his schedule fills up.)
