Home Building
1. Builder promised to be done in 3 months, it took 6 months.
2. Builder did not provide detailed item list for everything, he verbally said what was included, but did not deliver on some of the items. Drywall is not finished around fireplace and the storage area in the garage does not have a means to access it. Had to argue with him to have the glass enclosure installed for the open master shower and to have the garage door opener installed even though the wiring had been done for it.
3. Had problems in the basement, but builder and excavator kept playing the blame game. After waiting several months after moving in, I physically dug the dirt down further inside the window wells to prevent water from continuing to enter in around basement windows.
4. Builder was rarely at sight, he had son and other apprentices doing the majority of the work.
5. Builder was hard to reach for questions and/or concerns, when messages were left for him, it took a long time for responses.
