We had a custom made Hunter Douglas duette window treatment and that was installed but was different from what I selected and ordered. The finish was very different. This is because they use old and outdated books. I was told that the products change and they weren't going to do anything about it. The owner is very dull and not very helpful. She is horrible at returning phone calls and I believe she works out of her home. The decorator is nice and more helpful. Owner doesn't want to deal with customer. I do not recommend using them and would go elsewhere because we had two main issues. 1) We had a bad experience with the installer they use. She faxes him the information to install and he didn't notice our blinds were not the correct ones we ordered and put them up. (Room darkening is more expensive.) We wanted room darkening hunter douglas blinds and they were the regular type. So that had to be changed. These were $1400 blinds b/c the window is large with an arch. 2) We had our whole first floor installed with hunter douglas through them a few years ago. Three years later, one piece of the cord broke off from the plastic and it has been over two months and the installer has not fixed it correctly. At least Hunger Douglas was able to mail me the part directly and my husband will fix it. I guess they don't care about warranties in their products they sell. Also, the above shades are slightly crooked. Very disappointed considering we spent thousands of dollars to use their company to get the products. Oh well, at least Hunger Douglas has a lifetime warranty and will help out because I had to go above them to get a resolution. Not worth my time to call the BBB.
