We broke glass in a window during a move so we contacted Rogers glass to see what it would be to replace it. I called then went into the local store to discuss. In addition to this window we had a couple of other cracked windows that we had repaired and a piece of glass out of a coffee table that got broke in the move.
They were able to come and replace the glass on-site within a few days of us giving the go ahead. The charge $100.00 service call plus $20.00 per window, plus material. (The material is pretty inexpensive). They replaced the glass within a couple of hours and cleaned up after the job. The technician was professional and knowledgeable and did nice work.
Keep in mind you have the option of taking your own window to the office for repair to avoid the service call but we were quoted a couple of days for the repair. Because this was a main level window in our house we had to have it done same day. They (or you if you do it yourself) will likely have to remove the window from the frame and this will cause you to have to do a paint retouch and possibly fill in some gaps where they remove the trim holding in the window.
I had the technician go down to the basement to look at an economical solution for replacing some unsightly windows in our basement. They quoted out several options including just replacing the glass but we found all options to be more than we wanted to spend at this time so we will continue to shop around.
