Greater Michigan Movers

I used Greater Michigan Movers a few weeks ago for a move of a 3 bedroom home. I was very impressed with their prompt arrival and efficient ability to carefully and quickly move all of my household items. Furniture was wrapped and handled very carefully. There was NO damage to any of the items or my new and old home. This kind of careful handling is hard to find. The men on the crew were very personable and friendly. It was so easy to work with them. I've done many moves across the country and this was one of the best experiences I've had. Setting up the move with Jerry was also a breeze! It started out a little rough, but the three guys assigned to our job got it straightened out and taken care of. Apparently their largest truck had broken down the day before and so there was a possibility that the movers might need to make two trips with their smaller truck. When the guys arrived and assessed the amount to be moved, and realized there was no way to do the job well, they called to arrange reserving a large truck from another moving company. They switched trucks quickly, arrived back at the house, and immediately started moving items. They are organized, work well as a team, and are fast. They definitely know what they are doing. Very personable.

Movers arrived on time & were professional. Move took nearly 10 hrs with 3 guys, but the crew was not wasting any time, they were constantly working. Also, best price compared to other quotes we received.

They were late for 2.5 hours after repeatedly promised to arrive on time. The only reason they gave is that they had to do another job and it took longer than expected. The movers were very slow they hang out at their truck almost every time after they move a stuff. It took 3 men 6 hours to move a small two bedrooms apartment costed me over $200 dollars more than I paid for the last move (I had to pay for 3 men but they were slower than 2 men). They ruined my freshly painted basement walls on the stairs. The owner didn't even call back to ask how it went after the move. Totally unprofessional!

Everything went smoothly from start to finish. Very professional, courteous, and skilled at what they do.

Crew was professional, got the work done in a relatively expeditious manner. Showed up right on time.

There was some confusion about the time (not the moving guys' fault), just a miscommunication between the office and the movers. We agreed on a new time and they came and did a great job. Even grabbed my loose items which is not something I was expecting. Would definitely hire again and recommend to others.

They did a great job. I was very happy to get them off Angie’s List. The truck could have been a little bit bigger but it was ok.

Chris and Matt  spent most of a day packing, the next day loading, and the last day driving to Cleveland in a 26 foot truck towing a 16 foot trailer with all our 27 years worth of stuff then unloading in a light rain . They worked very hard and were creative with packing including a piano and 2 small trees !

We weren't sure the contents of our storage unit would fit in the trailer but they pulled it off !

Randy, the owner, was wonderful to work with throughout the process. We moved from Virginia to Michigan. The closing date for our new house kept changing, which stressed me out. Each time I talked to Randy he was so flexible it took a load off of my shoulders. When the closing date changed the last time, he was able to set up temporary storage for me. This was a huge help and one less thing I had to take care of. Once our close date actually arrived, Randy was able to squeeze us in and get our belongings to us very quickly. I would highly recommend Randy and Greater Michigan Movers. Randy was professional, flexible and easy to work with the entire time.

They were very professional, quiet, knew what to do and there was nothing broken during the move. I would use this group again. We had called one of the and quot;biggerand quot; movers and the staff were rude, not pleasant and quoted a larger price. When Greater Michigan Movers returned phone call, he immediately apologized for not having answered the phone faster and was quite pleasant. It was also nice to have a local company who seem to really put the customer first.

They were great! Everything was done quickly and professionally. Nothing was damaged not even a scratch.

Three men showed up on time. They worked hard with little breaks. It was a really hot day and they still gave it their all.
The movers moved us out of a 6 bedroom house to another house about 5 miles away. They were able to get the entire job done in one day. Their estimate for how long the job would take and how much it would cost was spot on. They were also great following and remembering a lot of directions. Our house was partly furnished and I had to give detailed directions on which items stayed and which was to be moved. They didn't make any mistakes.
The movers were also friendly and polite.

I've used them at least 3 or 4 times. I haven't had any issues with them. They did everything very well. They were very professional. I had no scratches and everything was wrapped and unwrapped. They did fine. The first couple of times they were on time and the last time they were a little late.

I found this company on Craigslist and hired them to move a commercial sized appliance from my garage to my kitchen. I explained to the scheduler on more than one occasion that this item was huge and extremely heavy. Nevertheless, they send out two junior high looking kids to move my appliance. They could barely handle the thing and actually required additional help to negotiate the item into the house. So long story short, the too small dolly that was used scratched up my wood floors and chipped my marble floors. The crew took pics of the damage and claimed that their boss "Mike" would get back to me to take care of the damage. Still haven't heard from this guy. I called the same day of delivery and requested the invoice that the kid still had on his clipboard, and of course I haven't received that either. I have called again and again and no service or even compassion from these folks. My insurance company will handle things from here. Those rascals caused me major drama and serious damage to my floors. The scheduler who takes calls claims that "Mike" will get in touch with me well, it's been several weeks. No Mike. I would not hire this company again, they "suck" and are operating a mickey mouse type operation.

Mike's crew called us a half-hour before their scheduled arrival to see how we were doing with packing. We'd spent a frantic night trying to finish and still had a way to go. This flexibility was a great relief and it allowed us to finish packing just as the team pulled up in their big truck. The leader made a survey of the job and got to work quickly. They worked steadily all day and into the evening with no problems whatsoever. Mike showed great sensitivity to our needs and always be grateful to him and our wonderful movers.
