With Colleen, it was all about her customer service. We figured that given our excellent credit, albeit it a modest downpayment, we would qualify for good rates with whomever we chose, so we really wanted someone who could provide the service we were looking for. We interviewed about 4 other lenders and ultimately selected Colleen due to her promptness and professionalism. We got pretty much the same rate quote with each of the lenders although the fees quoted by Colleen were less. Colleen promptly responded to our first outreach to her. She quickly provided us feedback on the range of loan we would likely be approved for as well as various fees for our target range. Although we qualified for a substantially larger loan than what we wanted to spend, we did not experience any pressure to go above our desired range. In fact, she encouraged and supported our choice as a wise way to go about it.  She was also on board with estimating insurance/taxes etc. in the very high range so that when all was said and done, we were delightfully surprised that our payment ended up being much lower than expected rather than the reverse. I ended up contacting her several times regarding what type of loan to go with (FHA, 20 or 30 year conventional). She readily provided pros and cons of each. When I was calculating the overall loan cost (fees, principle, mortgage insurance, and interest) on various loan combinations including if we prepaid principle, she checked my math and logic whenever I needed her to. Ultimately it helped us feel very comfortable choosing the type of loan we did.  Our sellers were also pretty fussy about changing dates and closing times, and Colleen managed to get things done well before our deadline--and ended up doing paperwork multiple times because our sellers changed their desired closing date and such. I would strongly recommend Colleen to anyone due to her professionalism and EXCELLENT customer service.
