The effort and the quality of the work was outstanding. For the shower in the basement, the basement floor was accessed and dug out to expose the piping, additionally the exterior of the house had to also be accessed, with a backhoe, when the piping in the basement floor was exposed, the sewer line ran under the front porch. Dave, the plumber on the job, tunneled from the basement past the foundation to the outside of the house, instead of having to install an access in the middle of our front lawn. Dave is to be commended for the extra hard work. The upstairs bathroom was also done in a professional and timely manner. Dave also recommended that I replace the remaining cast iron piping which was left after the repair to the main floor toilet, which I did. Peace of Mind purchase. Dave made sure that the work area was cleaned when they were done. A most professional, honest, and always kept their scheduled appointments company. Great Company, they came right out when my primary Sump Failed. About 6 months later the new sump also failed and they swapped it out immediately no questions asked. Both these events happened on weekends and they were still very prompt. I have a very high water table and my Sump more or less runs 24/7 so it is critical that the sump and backup are running well to keep a dry basement.

I would definitely use A-fordable Plumbing again! They were able to come out quickly, and were reasonably priced. We worked with Gary, who did a wonderful job. A-fordable was able to give me a quote over the phone based on photos I sent. When Mike arrived he did a great job. He quickly inspected the issue was able to verify what work was needed. The work consisted of breaking up the concrete floor and then replacing a section of the leaking pipe. Mike went above and beyond the specified work making sure the pipe was secured to the wall properly and fixing some leaking valves. I am very satisfied with the work. Everyone from Mike to Ashley who I spoke with on the phone at A-fordable was very professional and made the process very easy.

Last summer we had problem with flooding water at our basement, obviously our sump pump problem. So we called emergency service at A-fordable and technician came at same night, fixing problem. So we fixed that problem, however several month later with heavy rain there was almost continuous running of sump pump. And I found there were several holes at lower portion of pump. I called A-fordable to take a look. Office girl told me no matter what tech came your house you had to pay $ 150. To tell long story short, I paid $ 150 for nothing that technician said there was nothing wrong. I let you know everyone, just be careful to call them. They are not your good friend.

They were quick to come out and identify the problem. But when it came to identifying and finding replacement part to make the repair, no great effort was made to do this. I sent them email but absolutely silence. But they were happy to collect the $160 service call charge. Another company, Motown Fire, was all over the situation and promptly fixed the problem

Everything was handled extremely well from the initial call to the office to get things underway to the work done by the service technician. Both the person in the office and the technician were extremely helpful and competent. I'd highly recommend the company for any plumbing work and will certainly call on them again if the need arises. (I opted for N/A in rating the cost because I don't have a good basis for comparison.)

They found the pinhole leak and replaced the pipe. Minimal cuts into the drywall were made to access the pipe.

The first plumber removed the old toilet and replaced it with a new one, and mentioned that there was water damage to the floor around the ring due to a slow leak, the floor was uneven and made it difficult to seal the ring, but he thought he got the job done. He thought outloud about checking to see if the floor was sound, but decided against it. I paid $600 for this job. The toilet was rocking off the ring right away. I called A-fordable. I expected them to correct their work with the money I had already paid them. Instead, they charged me double. The next technician was very professional. He arrived on time, removed the toilet, surveyed the floor & ring, and made an appointment for a second visit with the proper tools. On his second visit, he replaced the floor around the toilet, cleaned the ring, fired it with a blow torch, and replace the toilet. This was excellent work, and should have been performed the first time. The toilet is stable and working well. This cost an additional $600. I protested the $1200 bill, since the first visit was a wash. The manager, who has yet to speak with me personally, suggested a $100 reduction. This is poor customer service. I will never hire this company again.

The work was done on time, and handled very professionally. I've used A-fordable before, for much larger jobs (hydraulic back up sump pump, replacement hot water heater), and have felt that they have always been excellent, and priced fairly - perhaps a little on the high side, but if so I never felt it was excessive. Until this time. The job was done in no more than about 45 minutes. Two gentlemen came, one appeared to be more or less in training, though he had been a plumber while serving in the military, so not new to the trade by any means... perhaps just learning the ropes at the company. The other fellow had been here before. I watched the work from start to finish, was impressed by the care taken in replacing the hot and cold stem assemblies, and the flapper was just a "while you're here" sort of thing, since it was clearly starting to leak. The job was finished, they cleaned up and went out to the truck to prepare the bill. That took almost 10 minutes, and when the young man came in with the bill I was a bit surprised to see a total bill of $275 after a $20 "senior discount". I didn't say anything about it at the time, but over the following two days (Saturday and Sunday) I couldn't get over the feeling that this was was quite exorbitant (by the way, I looked online and the parts were about $25 if bought in pieces, I'm sure lower in the bulk they purchase them). I called A-fordable and spoke with Garth, the Sales Manager. While the conversation we had was pleasant enough, what he told me made little sense, at least to me. Why did it cost that much? Because no matter how long it takes they have to charge everyone the same amount. And they try to get their employees to spend roughly the same amount of time on a particular job regardless of how long it actually takes. Well, it seems no matter how long this simple job takes, this is an awful lot to charge. And that doesn't sound like a logical response. Yes, I get it that auto repairs are billed like that. And maybe plumbing jobs too. But when my car is repaired I have no idea how much time they spent, whereas here I saw that they charged about $400/hour for the work they did! That's the logic behind the "F" I gave for Price.

We have used A-Fordable for our residential plumbing needs for several years - they have helped fix clogged drains, install a garbage disposal and water line to our icemaker, and most recently helped us when we experienced a sewage backup into our home. Ed came and determined the source of the problem (which was caused during the course of construction on our road). He helped communicate with the City about the damage and potential repairs and continued to follow up with me for several days just to check in. They also came on a moment's notice to assist in clearing the source of the clog/backup. Fantastic service and I will most certainly be calling them again whenever we have plumbing issues!!

Mike, acted very professional, and knowledgeable about what was required to install gas line, and replace and repair three toilets. He gave a great effort to fix a problem toilet instead of just replacing it. He showed great patience and willingness to explain the steps in the process of the project work. Never demonstrated any signs of frustration when asked questions. Very good skill person and professional. On time and ready to start. I might have graded the pricing a little low but you get what you pay for in service and product. I thought the toilet and gas feed line to be a little too high in price.
