Chris Obry met with us to discuss the project at our new home.  He took time to thoroughly understand what we were trying to achieve instead of rushing us through the appointment as some contractors do.  As we were not quite sure of some of the details, he gave us an estimate which reflected the two different ways we might proceed. The area behind our home where we wanted a patio drops off quickly and a retainer wall was necessary to bring the patio to the height we needed.  As our home sits in the woods, we wanted the retainer wall to look like part of the landscape and not a stone wall.  I gave Chris a picture I composited that showed him what we had in mind and Chris took that to the next level with an expert hand!  I mean that literally-- Chris is hands on, working side by side with his crew all day, every day of the project!  Chris wants you to be happy with the end result.  As he says, "you will have to look at it every day when it's done."  He actually moved a boulder half a turn when I thought it might look better that way.  Knowing that we might want to put a roof or pergola over the patio in the future, Chris buried 6 foot concrete tubes under the far edge of the pavers, which we filled with concrete and rebar before he covered them.  As a result, the foundation for timbers or columns is in place and out of sight should we choose to use it later.
Finally, a word about the professionalism of Chris and his crew...  They arrived every day in clean shirts bearing the OBL logo.  They worked non-stop, with one break for lunch.  They never said a single word your mother would have washed your mouth out with soap for speaking.  They never appeared to be anything but cheerful in their work.  They were patient with me and with one another.  They cleaned up and left no other trace they had been here other than the beautiful job they did with the walkways and patio.

He's awesome! I would highly recommend him. He does landscaping but he does lighting as well. He's a great guy. He's very professional, punctual, and does a great job. He's excellent and I'm very happy. I have some lights in my backyard and I'm having him light up some of the other trees I have out there. I can't recommend him anymore highly than I had. I wish all contractors were like that.

I had gotten a couple of estimates and Obry Brick and Landscape was a little more expensive than the others. I decided to go with Chris because of other positive reviews on Angie's List and Chris was the one who quoted the job and was also in the one who would work on the job. I am glad I did. Chris was a pleasure to work with. He was always on time. He always returned any phone calls. The weather is always an issue for any outdoor project and Chris always kept in touch for when he would be able to do the job. But, the most important issue is they did a beautiful job one the patio, did it correctly and cleaned up completely. We are very happy with the results! I must also add that the final price was lower than his original estimate because I removed most of the pavers that had dropped and had them stacked and cleaned and ready to be installed when Chris and the crew arrived.

I've had Chris install two retaining walls now and both are great. The walls are well built and beautiful. Chris is great to work with; both jobs were completed on time and communication was very good.

I cant say enough great things about Obry brick and landscaping, Chris Obry the owner came to my house and went over everything I wanted to have in the back yard, Then he came back with a full blue print of everything I asked for and much much more unbelievable job! Chris and his crew started on time and finished when he said he would I cant say enough about a company that does what they say they will do! I had Mcdonald pools put in a inground pool and Chris did all the rest. Chris came out to my house and looked at my existing landscape as well as the empty area of my yard. A few days later I received a very detailed estimate and an outstanding drawing of what it would look like in my yard. Chris and his crew arrived at my home on the agreed upon date and time and went straight to work. I gave Chris creative freedom to do whatever he could with my budget and I was pleasantly suprised when I arrived home to see what an excellent value that it proved to be.
His crew did an excellent job and the site was cleaned up perfectly, the driveway and cement was as clean or cleaner than it was before he arrived leaving no traces of the equipment or wheelbarrows of material that must have been ran up and down the driveway. My wife and I were extremely pleased, it seemed like all the plants and bushes were placed exactly where
I would have wanted them.

He went beyond what we expected. The final product was an amazing transformation of my front yard. I had neighbors stopping by for weeks after when out on a walk commenting on what a difference he made in the curb appeal and how beautiful the yard looked. In the back which again was not even a thought we planned to do it ourselves but he did such an amazing job in the front we had him transform our back yard too. Chris planted a peaceful, calm village for us in the back yard, it is so relaxing and enjoyable to sit out there now we can hardly wait for spring just so we can start enjoying all of Chris's amazing work he did for us. The time frame which I think is also very important to mention is Chris was right on schedule and did not keep us waiting after he started the job they did not leave until they finished. I have found in the past other companies will work on several jobs at one time which in return drags your job out. He did not do that and I appreciated that part of the process too. The entire experience was well worth the money spent. We will enjoy for many years to come.

It went very well, Chris handled everything I wanted done and went beyond what I was expecting.
