Had them out to do some siding and they damaged my home in the process, and their 'fix' was not sufficient and did not match the rest of the home. When I complained they said this was not their problem, their 'fix' was good enough in their eyes. Now I have to pay someone else to replace they're work. I will never hire them again.

Wilderness was terrific! First of all, Jason (the owner) did a remarkable job helping us with the township zoning official to get approval for the project. He designed and re-designed according to what we wanted and then had to redesign again because of township requirements. By the time we did that, it was late in the year, however, and they had to work all winter. In spite of the weather and other setbacks they were always responsive and did their very best to keep things moving. Whenever we had a concern, Jason and/or Steve, the person assigned to our project, responded and fixed the problem. They dealt with unexpected outcomes quickly and professionally.
We are finally done and the addition looks great. We couldn't be happier.

Everything went well with Wilderness Construction as far as their end of the project. Lance gave us a quote on the door we wanted with all the options requested. When we went to order the door we had the lockset template sent to the manufacturer to insure the door would prepared for the lockset since it was different then Provia standard perp. Lance worked with the manufacturer to get the proper preparation done, however the manufacturer wanted the physical lockset shipped to them at our expense and they would verify the lockset could be mounted on the door. The manufacturer would then ship back the lockset at our cost. They stated without the lockset they would not prepare the door to the lockset manufacturers template but use their standard prep that would not work for our lockset. Lance tried to work this out with the door manufacturer but all his efforts could not change the manufacturers mind. So we ended up not purchasing door through Wilderness Construction since our second choice was another manufacturer that could prepare the door for the lockset we wanted. From our experience with Lance at Wilderness Construction we may use them in the future for other projects.

I have a decent sized job, chimney repair, insulation work, possibly more in terms of renovation of an addition room. But getting punctual responses was impossible, even to just get a quote. After nearly two weeks of phone tag to get someone out to see us, we had an initial review of our project that was followed by and quot;we'd like to bring in a couple specialists,and quot; which is understandable. But three more weeks of and quot;I'll call you next week, we're so busy,and quot; and no call coming, I got an unannounced visit at a time that was completely inconvenient (I was walking out the door for a meeting).
Promises of and quot;I'll call you next week,and quot; followed by no calls... I'll pass. Their work may be fantastic, but apparently getting to the actual work stage is quite the endeavor in patience and tolerance.

I personally feel that had I been male, this wouldn't have happened, but who can know for sure. Lance has a salesman type of personality, so just beware of that. I actually hear Jason is professional, that's why my dad referred the company to me, but unfortunately, Jason didn't handle my job.

"I was surprised and disappointed to see this review posted 2 years after work was quoted that we did not do. I made an honest mistake when tabulating my costs for the project, and immediately contacted the customer when I realized what happened. I explained that the mistake was by no means intentional, and I offered to work something out on the pricing difference. I apologized and promptly refunded the customers deposit. I regret this rare and embarrassing mistake, and wish an alternate outcome could have been reached. Our office staff is friendly and professional, and our pricing is competitive. I have a solid reputation as an honest and professional representative and would never play pricing games or treat someone differently based on gender or for any other reason. Lance and crew are top notch. They installed some Pella windows and did some custom work around the windows. We had some issues with water coming in and they were quick to fix the problem. They really stand by their work and do an excellent job of calming people down when there's a problem. I would recommend them for any job and you can be assured they will do the right thing.

Three exterior doors and one interior with no problems at all. Very happy.One exterior door is waiting for a new door sweep and hinges because it has settled in the frame a tiny bit.Parts are on order and I am waiting for them to return and fix that.

Finding our door was a long process. We had originally gone through another company who had come out to measure our door 3 times, but it wasn't till the contractor from Wilderness Construction (which the original company contracted to do the work) came and measured that they found out that the door we had ordered and waited for 6 weeks to come was the wrong size. Luckily he measured before he took our old door out. It turns out that we had gone to them to get an original bid before deciding on the first company. When that fell through we asked for our money back and had them come out and re-bid on the job. They weren't at all upset at us for coming back to them as a second choice. They were professional the whole time. The crew came in when they said, the door was the right size, and the work was all finished up and cleaned up. We could not be happier with their job the whole process was very smooth and they were super responsive. I would definately recommend them to a friend, and we are thinking about doing more work with them for some remodeling work.
