 + -1 moreJob 1: Rekeying was completed quickly and as scheduled. Job 2: A door latch stopped working on the weekend, called Vogels, and got helpful feedback from the person on call. He offered troubleshooting advice by phone then recommended that we schedule someone to come out and look at door. The technician completed the job during the week. Technician was extremely nice and informative.
Description of Work: Vogels has done two jobs for us: rekeyed all the locks and repaired a broken door latch.

 + -1 moreIt was cheap compared to everybody else that I called. I was extremely pleased with their service. The price was excellent. I have no qualms whatsoever for the amount of work that was done and the type of work. I had no qualms paying what I did. The technician arrived within 15 minutes of my scheduled appointment time, which was perfect. They gave me a 4 hour window with a time and he arrived about 15 minutes early.
Description of Work: I used Vogel's Lock & Safe to rekey 4 doors onsite. He found a problem with one of them and did a repair on it.

Description of Work: I call Vogel's in the morning & they were able to schedule an appointment that afternoon. I had a broken deadbolt. The tech's tried to repair it without success. They put in a new deadbolt & keyed all of the locks to work with the same key. I am very happy with the level of service that was provided.

 + -1 moreWhen Vogel's arrived, they told us that they were all different brands, and if we wanted a single key, most would need to be replaced. Despite the fact that they had the necessary locks, they informed me that I could save a lot of money if I just so happened to acquire the locks myself from a hardware store. I found the exact locks at a nearby store for half the cost (saving me well over $150) AND they managed to rearrange their schedule to perform the installation that same day. The work itself was performed well and very quickly.

 + -1 moreWe had always thought that Vogels was a first rate locksmith service. This last experience was regrettable as we will not be using Volgels services again. Their disinterest and poor communication was very annoying. We have lost confidence in their ability to provide customer service and technical expertise.
Description of Work: Initially, we thought that the replacement lock that we inquired about would be installed. When the installation fellow came to our house, he said that he could not install a lock. When we first inquired, we brought photos of the current lock in four different angles. We anticipated that the installation would be better served with prior information. However, the installation fellow said he could use lock he had brought, but that he would go back to Vogels and get back with us. After three weeks, my husband decided not to wait any longer for their phone call. After several unaswered calls, he spoke with folks at the store. They said they would not be able to install a lock given our door and current set up. Also, that if they did try it would be very expensive. He suggested that we try a "big box store" for the purchase of the lock and they could install it.
