"We appreciate your business. Thank You!"
I had to have a second estimate appointment, because I forgot to ask about a certain section of the house - no problem, scheduled within a couple days.
Once we decided to move ahead, appointment was scheduled quickly. Guys showed up right on time, worked very consistently, spotted an issue and dealt with it without changing our agreed-upon estimate, cleaned up thoroughly before they left.
Excellent value in pricing, very knowledgeable staff, second time we have used them, and if we ever have any further insulation needs, we will definitely call Spink.
Estimate was reasonable, and owner was personable. Quite a few mistakes made on cellulose install, and very sloppy foam install. Multiple unnecessary holes cut through drywall into ductwork. Additional holes bored up the wall to install hose to vacuum out cellulose accidentally blown into ductwork. Two floor to ceiling cracks occurred in drywall due to over expansion (but we knew this was a possibility with retro fit insulation). A 2and quot; hole was cut through our garage rim joist to install cellulose from the exterior--not only is that a basic carpentry mistake, but there was also no plug installed to contain the cellulose. The two young men who came for the original install were nice, and the third gentlemen who came the next day to mud the multiple 2and quot; holes bored every 16and quot; was polite as well but informed me he had never used drywall mud before--and it showed. We had quite a bit of foam overspray in our basement which also landed on some of our stored winter clothing amongst other items. We did call the owner to communicate our concerns with the sloppy workmanship of especially the foam install, and he did offer to send the young man out to clean up the mess--which he did. As for replacing the items of clothing, I didn't pursue due to not having an original receipt of purchase.
Why am I reviewing so long after install? We have recently had two neighbors inquire about our experience with our insulation installation. Would I use Spink again? If they could guarantee to send experienced personnel - probably. But at this point, there are more cellulose installers out there, and I may be willing to look elsewhere.
