[Member Name Removed], we recommended to replace your roof plywood due to original plywood 3/8" thickness and it's below minimum code requirement, we couldn't identify thickness before work started as your roof had 2 roofing layers. You chose not to replace and it was your choice. We explained all reasons of replacing and not replacing roof deck.Service Provider Response
Hello, First I want to thank you for taking your time to write your review about our company. Your request was full roof estimate and my first thought was that your roof didn't look so bad, but then I noticed shingles missing and I agreed that full roof needed. I'll explain quickly why we are not climbing on most of the roofs for full roof estimate. When we climb on your roof while doing estimate - there's a potential that roof could be damaged just by walking on it. Different scenarios could be given. We don't want to be blamed if your old roof would leak right after we left, that happen before and we will not make that mistake again. I confirmed my field measurements while being on site, because before we come over to give you an estimate all roofs measured by satellite measurements company which is 99.9% accuracy. I'm not surprised that you hired Neighborhood Roofing cause it came down to a price and they were cheaper then us. I'm glad that you like the color choice I suggested because in all cases your house curb appeal is the main aspect of your new roof. Our crews do and go far beyond on roof installation details and how it's done while roof replacement process undergo, so I'm confident our crews do excel in roof installations so are our past customers agree on it as well. I'm sure we would of done the same on your home. Thanks again for taking your time, we will implement some of the points you showed us so we'll make sure to provide the most accurate estimates in the future and explain them. Thank you, Imperial Roofing Family.Service Provider Response
[member name removed], thank you for lengthy review. We are greatly appreciated. I have no excuse for this matter. I believe there was clearly miscommunication on our end and I apologize for that again. I don't know why Marty didn't get back to you on estimate submitting. We all humans and we all make mistakes but we never deny any of the work. Good luck to you on your project.Service Provider Response
[Member name removed], Thank you for your review, we're happy that could help to fix your leak. The picture above actually shows how the repair was done by others before we fixed the leak. Thank you.Service Provider Response
Dear [removed member name], Thank you for writing your review, whether good or bad - we appreciate it. I'll start from the beginning: Roof was replaced on December 20, 2012 and everything looked good and that time. You called back next week and we answered phone immediately, you asked about cathedral ceiling roof over the garage that has some ice built up, it was not our mistake that you have ice built up but it's the design of that roof area on your house, we generously mentioned that we will put heat tape over that area on both sides, since it was impossible to do at that time we said that it'll be done when weather get warmer. Since winter is 6 months away there is no point to do it in the heat of summer but it'll be done before weather start to get cold so next winter you will not have ice built up. As far as property damage? you knew that our trailer company will stand behind and fix your sprinkle system if it was broken - we asked you to call us in the spring (there were our crew at that time), since spring you never called and asked to fix your sprinkles, as a matter of facts I was in your sub-division and your sprinkles worked just fine. As far as siding: we didn't want to do siding repair at that time cause it was very cold at the end of December and first week of January - but you insisted that we take care it immediately. We finished the work that was needed to be done - because of cold weather we couldn't perform efficiently and it was mutual agreement. Additional siding repairs needed to be done and existing repairs needed to be corrected, but because of cold weather, work was not efficient and we decided to wait until warm weather. For the siding repair work ($2,872.00) we did, you agreed that you would hold back $800.00 and pay us remainder, but you only paid $1,500.00 and there were some minor corrections to be done but it didn't worth $1,342.00 of the repair cost. Because of the attitude, we felt that we will not get paid for the original work that we already finished - besides that additional work needed to be done which will involve additional charges, but we still planned to come over and correct everything and finish additional work that will needed to be done. We emailed you an invoice for siding repair with details explanation, for some reason you have not received - that's beyond our control. We re-email you same invoice yesterday. It's not true that you called us many times and we didn't answered the phone. That's why we have full time person here in office from 9-5 Mon-Fri, after hours we also answer if it's before 9:00pm. We always finish what we started - and in your case we did too, we have to correct few things on that siding but we finished what we started. We all humans and we all make mistakes. We will finish all existing corrections and additional repairs if you promise to pay us. We called you in the spring and left you a message on your home voice machine to schedule repairs to be done, whether you retrieved it or it was accidentally deleted it's beyond our control. Per our conversation yesterday we intend to complete corrections and complete an additional work that needs to be done next week.Service Provider Response
Customer, First of all Happy New Year to you and your family!!! The roof was installed on 10/31/2011 and you called us in April 2012 which was not 2 months. I came over your house, met with you and looked over your roof's bubbled area which was not a roofing problem but it was and still is a framing existing structure problem, your rafters sits too high and it was constructed that way many years ago. When I talked to you I mentioned that we cannot do anything about that unless we take everything apart and re-build it. It was not our defect - it was and still is an existing structure problem - the framing structure is sound (ie. strong enough and will not cause you any damages) but it's not our defect, you will not have any roofing leaks from it. We do and we will stand behind our workmanship warranty. After I've stopped by and met with you - we've exchanged a few phone calls back and forth and it was not about the roof. As far as an inspection from manufacture - GAF Golden Pledge warranty was not even in your consideration - it would of been a lot higher price, the system warranty you have is GAF System Plus which is not part of GAF inspection plan. Was it sales job? I apologize that you felt that way, this is the first time we've heard from you in the last 6 months, I wish you would call us first before making this review. Should you have any problems with a roof other then existing structural problems - it's our duty to take care that. P.S. I will have one of our crews to come over and check on your roof - if we'll find any of roofing problems ( I mean roofing problems not existing structural problems ) we'll fix it. Thank you, Truly yours, Mikhail.Service Provider Response
It is unfortunate that there was a lack of communication between homeowner and our company, regarding the 50% deposit and insurance claim in general. Our company has a certain criteria of rules and we do follow them just like any self respected business, and we will not do anything or everything to win a job. Simply means we are honest, respectful, detailed and organized professionals. Before you called us your Insurance claim on your property already was denied due to no hail damage found by your insurance adjustor - at least that's what we were told and why did the other contractor had to match our price if insurance acknowledged $16,000.00 worth of damages - did another contractor you've chose provided false invoice to collect your $16,000.00? and your insurance provided 60% deposit for work to be completed. So the question is - why is our 50% deposit was not comfortable for you? and I will answer myself: When homeowner makes their decision on a company who bad mouths our company and uses the company rules against us, that simply means this company is not good enough to represent themselves as a professionals. They simply proved that they have nothing to offer better then Imperial, but to bad mouth. Only one question arises, this company that homeowner has chosen, what other things they have lied about or have hidden from the homeowner. As a mature adults I hope we all make our decisions on facts and homework and research. It's clearly stated in your review that this contractor has made a decision for you. As a homeowner I wish you the best of luck and time will show the reputation and quality of this contractor on your house.Health & Safety Measures
