About us

I started out doing handyman work and repairs and home maintenance in the late 70s and have continued to add to my range of skills and kind of work that I do. My company has grown slowly but steadily over the years by hiring reliable and competent people, and developing relationships with qualified trade people in all the various specialty trades, such as plumbing, electrical and heating and cooling. While we now do some much larger projects, we still do the small jobs that need to be done. I have done work for many of my customers for over 20 years and take a lot of pride in providing the kind of service that has resulted in them continuing to use us for their projects and refer us to their friends and neighbors. We often start with doing smaller projects for people. This gives us a chance to prove ourselves and show that we can efficiently and competently do the job. For minor handyman and repair work we usually charge by the hour. I have a $20 trip charge which is waived if the project takes up most of the day. And we charge $40 to $50 per hour for most work. While that may not sound "cheap", we are fast and efficient and my truck is more like a well organized rolling hardware store. So we don't waste our time or your money. I can give you a pretty good idea of what something is going to cost before I send someone out to do the work. I will do free estimates for most any project. If you just want to know a ballpark price or wonder if a project is even possible fell free to give me a call. I live on the Old West Side of Ann Arbor, and we do most of our work in the Ann Arbor and surrounding area. All the people who work with me, are friendly and get along well with people, kids and pets. ...(however one of my employees is completely terrified of spiders). Do not use this company! They did roof and skylight flashing on house I was purchasing and the first time it rained it literally poured in my house. We are talking inches of water in a large storage container I had used for moving. The picture shows water pouring into my house. They do not honor warranty! They blamed it all saying they hadn't been paid to fix real problem and that they had told seller but then refused to write a letter stating this fact. They are so dishonest they wouldn't even give me a quote of what repair would cost. Please do yourself a favor and use another company!
